Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

Yes, but only if your truck does not have obround holes in the pinchweld. The manual states: "2009 to 2012 trucks do not have the obround holes in the pinch weld, they will require drilling (2) 5/16" holes for each bracket." To locate the holes, follow step 2.5 (install T-bolt weldment), then mark the pinchweld for drilling with the bracket in place. Trucks with threaded inserts or obround holes do not require this drilling.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft. The manual specifies: "Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in fig. 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB FT."
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 lb-ft. The manual states: "Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) and tighten to 19 LB FT."

Follow these steps for each bracket (front, middle, rear on driver side; mirror image on passenger side): 1) Place the bracket up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2) Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3) Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 4) Place a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut on the carriage bolts; leave finger-tight. 5) Insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger-tight. 6) Install the step plates and adjust brackets before tightening all fasteners.
Follow these steps for each bracket (front, middle, rear on driver side; mirror image on passenger side): 1) Install the T-bolt weldment (item #11) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel vertical wall, nut end first, leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (item #12) to keep the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2) Place the bracket up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 3) Align and insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. 4) Place a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut on the carriage bolts; leave finger-tight. 5) Place a flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt threaded stud; leave finger-tight. 6) Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 7) Insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer; leave finger-tight. 8) Install the step plates and adjust brackets before tightening all fasteners.
