Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protect ion against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

O-MEGA II steps are a universal application, but fitment depends on the bracket package used. The manual provides a step pad location guide for specific vehicles: Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL, Tahoe/Yukon, RAM (Quad/Crew/Mega Cab), Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, Dodge Durango, Ford F150 and Super Duty, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma. For vehicles not listed, consult the bracket package instructions or contact Curt Manufacturing to confirm compatibility.
Yes, models 571032 and 401032 are designed for 09-16 RAM Crew Cab, Quad Cab, and Mega Cab pickups only. They are not compatible with other RAM models or years, or with other vehicle brands. The rear bracket orientation differs between Quad/Crew Cab and Mega Cab pickups, so confirm your cab style before installation.
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 extrusions (aluminum, 69", 75", or 85" length, silver or black), 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your model number (583072/584072 = 69", 583078/584078 = 75", 583088/584088 = 85"). Bracket packages are sold separately and vary by vehicle.
The bracket kit includes: front, center, and rear mounting brackets (left and right), rear outboard brackets (left and right), load reaction studs (4" for front, 3" for rear), M12 bolts (110mm for standard, 160mm for heavy duty rear), washers (2.0" and 1/2" flat, 3/8" flat, and rubber cushion), serrated flange nuts (3/8-16), and hex head screws (3/8-16 x 1.0"). Heavy duty pickups with diesel engines do not use the center load reaction stud.
A drill with a 1/8" bit is required to drill holes for attaching step pads to step plates. The manual does not specify other tools required. Consult the bracket package instructions for additional tools needed to mount brackets to your vehicle.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle; these bolts will not be reused. For 1500 pickups, if a cast iron dampener is present on the rear body mount, it must also be removed and will not be reused. Heavy duty pickups with diesel engines do not have a center body mount to remove.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pad is then attached with 5 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style; refer to the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 for your specific vehicle.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides a Step Pad Location Guide listing Pad A and Pad B distances for each vehicle. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". The guide notes that these are suggestions and pads may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
End caps must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 LB FT after the rubber cushion is snug against the frame.
1. Verify all parts are present. 2. Follow bracket package instructions to mount brackets to vehicle. 3. Attach step pads to step plates: drill 5 holes of 1/8" using pad as guide, attach with 5 tek screws. 4. Install square head bolts into slots on bottom of step plates. 5. Install end caps and tighten to 5 LB FT. 6. Position step on brackets with square head screws in bracket slots, centered front to rear. 7. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts and tighten to 19 LB FT.
1. Verify all parts are present. 2. Assemble load reaction studs: install 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to bottom of short threaded end, then 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer (stud end must recess ~3/16" into rubber). On long end, install 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near bottom of threads. 3. Attach stud assemblies to brackets, insert from inboard/frame side through lowest hole, install flange nut on outboard end (finger tight only). 4. Remove factory body mount bolts (right side). 5. Install front bracket with M12-110mm bolt and 2.0" washer (finger tight). 6. Install center bracket with M12-110mm bolt and 2.0" washer (finger tight). 7. For 1500 pickups, remove cast iron dampener if present. 8. Install rear bracket with M12-110mm bolt (or M12-160mm for heavy duty) and 1/2" flat washer (finger tight). 9. Attach rear outboard bracket to rear inboard bracket using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (use lower holes for light duty, upper holes for heavy duty). 10. Attach step plate per step plate instructions. 11. Position load reaction stud assembly so rubber cushion is snug against frame. 12. Tighten 3/8" flange nuts on either side of bracket to 19 LB FT.
No. During installation, leave the M12 bolts attaching the front, center, and rear mounting brackets to body mounts finger tight only. Also leave the flange nut on the outboard end of the load reaction stud finger tight initially. Only after positioning the load reaction stud assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the frame should you tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT.
The rear bracket orientation differs between Quad/Crew Cab and Mega Cab pickups. If installing on a Quad/Crew Cab pickup, refer to Figure 2. If installing on a Mega Cab pickup, refer to Figure 3. The manual does not provide the figures in the text provided, so consult the full installation document or contact Curt Manufacturing for clarification.
Use an M12-110mm bolt for standard 1500 pickups. Use an M12-160mm bolt for heavy duty pickups (2500/3500). The rear bracket also requires a 1/2" flat washer.
No. Heavy duty pickups with diesel engines do not use the center load reaction stud. Install only the front and rear load reaction studs.
The rubber cushion washer must be positioned so that the end of the stud is recessed into the rubber washer approximately 3/16". Install the 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the short threaded end first, then install the 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight up against the serrated flange nut.
For light duty pickups (1500), install the rear outboard bracket in the lower hole locations. For heavy duty pickups (2500/3500), install in the upper hole locations. Use three 3/8-16 x 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts for attachment.
O-MEGA II steps are universal, but fitment depends on the bracket package. The manual provides a step pad location guide for Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL, Tahoe/Yukon, RAM, Dodge Dakota/Durango, Ford F150/Super Duty, and Toyota Tundra/Tacoma. For other vehicles, consult the bracket package instructions or contact Curt.
