Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal step assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application and can be installed on various vehicles including Silverado/Sierra, Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans, RAM pickups, and Ford F150 and Super Duty trucks. The specific mounting brackets required depend on your vehicle model and must be purchased separately.
The O-MEGA II is a universal step assembly, but fitment depends on the correct bracket package for your vehicle. The manual provides step pad location guides for Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans, RAM (Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab), Ford F150 (Super Cab and Super Crew Cab), and Ford Super Duty (Super Cab and Crew Cab). You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to ensure proper installation. If your vehicle is not listed, consult the bracket package documentation or the manufacturer.
The SES/GRIP Step Bracket (models 571032 and 401032) is designed specifically for 09-16 RAM Crew Cab, Quad Cab, and Mega Cab pickups. It includes mounting brackets that attach to the factory body mount locations and load reaction studs that anchor to the vehicle frame. This bracket system is not universal and will not fit other vehicle makes or models.
The O-MEGA II includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), 6 aluminum step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your model number. All parts are listed in the Service Parts List on page 1.
The SES/GRIP kit includes: front, center, and rear mounting brackets (left and right, with separate SES and GRIP versions), load reaction studs (3" and 4" lengths), M12 hex head bolts (110mm and 160mm lengths), serrated flange nuts (3/8-16), flat washers (various sizes), rubber cushion washers, and 3/8-16 hex head screws. The exact quantities and part numbers are listed in the Service Parts List on page 2 of the bracket instructions.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle. These factory bolts will not be reused. The new M12 hex head bolts (Item #9 or #10 for heavy duty pickups) are installed in their place. For 1500 pickups, if a cast iron dampener is present on the rear body mount, it must also be removed and will not be reused.
The step pad location guide on page 2 provides the recommended distances from the end of the step to position Pad A and Pad B for different vehicle models. For example, on a Silverado/Sierra Double Cab, Pad A is positioned 14-3/4" from the end and Pad B at 46-3/4". However, the manual notes that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. The guide covers Silverado/Sierra, RAM, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana, and other models.
Follow these steps in order: 1) Check that all required parts are on hand. 2) Install the bracket package per its included instructions. 3) Position and attach the step pads to the step plates using the location guide table, drilling five 1/8" holes and securing with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws. 4) Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5) Install end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 6) Position the step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear, and tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Follow these steps in order: 1) Check that all required parts are on hand. 2) Assemble the load reaction studs with hardware as specified (3" studs for rear, 4" for front; heavy duty diesel pickups do not use center stud). 3) Attach stud assemblies to mounting brackets. 4) Remove factory body mount bolts and install front, center, and rear mounting brackets using M12 bolts and washers (leave finger tight). 5) Attach the step plate per its included instructions. 6) Position load reaction studs snug against the frame and tighten all 3/8" flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
For each stud: 1) On the short threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread, then add a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 2) On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (Item #16) for the front bracket and 3" studs (Item #15) for the rear brackets. Heavy duty pickups with diesel engines do not use the center load reaction stud.
Insert each stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" flange nut on the outboard end of the stud, but leave it finger tight at this stage. The studs are fully tightened later after the step plate is attached and positioned.
Yes. The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Quad/Crew Cab pickups and Mega Cab pickups. If installing on a Quad/Crew Cab pickup, refer to Figure 2. If installing on a Mega Cab pickup, refer to Figure 3. Additionally, the rear outboard bracket attachment uses lower hole locations for light duty pickups and upper hole locations for heavy duty pickups.
Use three 3/8-16 x 1.0" hex head screws with 3/8" flat washers and 3/8" flange nuts (Items #17, #13, #14). For light duty pickups, install these in the lower hole locations. For heavy duty pickups, install them in the upper hole locations. This connection is made after the inboard bracket is installed to the body mount.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pad is then attached with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). This drilling is required for each step pad. The manual notes that due to the shortness of some boxes, the box step pad should be mounted first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, and then the middle step pad mounted accordingly.
The end cap nuts (Item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) that secure the square head screws (Item #4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This is done after the step plate is attached and the rubber cushion is positioned snug against the side of the frame.
M12 – 110mm hex head bolts (Item #9) are used for the front and center mounting brackets, and for the rear mounting bracket on light duty pickups. For heavy duty pickups, use M12 – 160mm hex head bolts (Item #10) on the rear bracket. All bolts are installed with 2.0" washers (Item #11) for the front and center brackets, and 1/2" flat washers (Item #18) for the rear bracket. These fasteners are left finger tight during initial installation and tightened after the load reaction studs are positioned.
The O-MEGA II extrusions are available in five lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", and 122.0". Each length is available in either silver or black aluminum. The specific length for your model is determined by your model number (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, or 584125).
You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The holes are then secured with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Yes. The manual explicitly requires that you read the instructions completely and check to make sure that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation. This is the first step in the installation process.
