Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Dodge Sprinter 2500 or 3500, Freightliner Sprinter 2500 or 3500 and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 or 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II package includes two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black aluminum in five different lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model. You must obtain the bracket package separately for your specific vehicle.
The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application, but you must obtain a bracket package specific to your vehicle to mount them. The manual provides a step pad location guide for Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM (Quad, Crew, Mega Cab), Ford F150 (Super Cab, Super Crew Cab), and Ford Super Duty (Super Cab, Crew Cab). For other vehicles, consult the bracket package instructions or contact the manufacturer.
The 570745 Mega/Omega Steps are designed for 2007-newer Sprinter Vans only. If you have a different vehicle, these steps are not compatible.
You will need a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to attach the step pads to the step plates. You will also need standard tools to tighten bolts and nuts (5/16" socket or wrench). The bracket package instructions may specify additional tools required for bracket installation.
You will need a drill with 7/16", 7/32", and 11/32" drill bits. You will also need a center punch, standard wrenches or sockets for 5/16-18 bolts and nuts, and a screwdriver for self-tapping screws. The bracket package instructions may specify additional tools.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. You must also obtain the bracket package specific to your vehicle and follow its instructions to mount the brackets before attaching the O-MEGA steps.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. You must also determine whether your Sprinter has rear A/C, as this affects the installation method for the front bracket. Locate the body plugs on the rocker panel at the specified distances from the front of the mud flap.
Place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to position the pads for your vehicle. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate. Attach the pads with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). For shorter boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat for all step pads.
1. Attach step pads to step plates using 1/8" holes and TEK screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps (Item #3) and tighten nuts to 5 lb ft. 4. Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
1. Preassemble brackets (Items 1 & 2) with spacer brackets (Item 8) using 5/16-18 bolts, 5/16" washers, and flange nuts; finger tighten only. 2. For the front bracket, measure 9-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap on the rocker panel. If the truck has no rear A/C, remove the body plug, drill a 7/16" hole 1/2" in front of the plug hole, insert a 5/16-18 U-nut, and fasten with a bolt and washer. If the truck has rear A/C, mark the hole using the bracket's center round hole as a guide, center punch, drill with a 7/32" bit, and install a 1/4" self-tapping screw. 3. Use the lower bracket mount holes as a drilling guide and drill two 11/32" holes into the pinch weld. 4. Fasten with 5/16-18 bolts, 5/16" washers, retainer plate (Item #9), and flange nuts. 5. For the rear bracket, measure 27-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap and repeat the drilling and fastening process.
1. Preassemble brackets (Items 1 & 3) with spacer brackets (Item 8) using 5/16-18 bolts, 5/16" washers, and flange nuts; finger tighten only. 2. Install the front two brackets using the same method as the driver's side (Steps 2-3). 3. For rear brackets, measure 48-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap; there should be a body plug. Scrape away undercoating, remove the plug, measure back 1/2", drill a 7/16" hole, and insert a 5/16-18 U-nut. Fasten the preassembled brackets using the top slot and supplied fasteners. 4. Using the lower bracket as a guide, drill two 11/32" holes into the pinch weld and fasten using the same method as Step 2.5. 5. Repeat this process at 68-1/2" and 88-1/2" from the front of the mud flap. Use the body plugs at the second, fourth, and sixth locations.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plates to attach the step pads using the step pad as a guide.
Yes, extensive drilling is required. You must drill 7/16" holes for U-nuts, 7/32" holes for self-tapping screws (unless the truck has rear A/C, in which case you drill 7/32" for the front bracket), and 11/32" holes into the pinch weld for the main bracket fasteners. A center punch is also required to mark hole locations before drilling.
It depends on whether your Sprinter has rear A/C. If your truck does NOT have rear A/C, you must scrape away undercoating and remove the body plugs at the specified locations (9-1/2", 27-1/2", 48-1/2", 68-1/2", and 88-1/2" from the front of the mud flap). If your truck DOES have rear A/C, you do not remove the body plug at the front bracket location; instead, you mark and drill through the rocker panel using a self-tapping screw. For the passenger side rear brackets, body plugs are always removed.
The nuts on the end caps (Item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
Square head bolts (Item #4) are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. These bolts are secured to the mounting brackets using 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5), which are tightened to 19 lb ft.
Five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6) are used to attach each step pad. The holes are drilled at 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide.
The installation uses 5/16-18 bolts with 5/16" washers and hex flange nuts for the main bracket assembly. For the front bracket on trucks without rear A/C, a 5/16-18 U-nut is inserted into a 7/16" hole. For trucks with rear A/C, a 1/4" self-tapping screw is used. The lower bracket is fastened with 5/16-18 bolts, 5/16" washers, retainer plates, and hex flange nuts through 11/32" holes drilled into the pinch weld.
For a Silverado or Sierra Double Cab, Pad A should be positioned at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4" from the reference point. Note that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For a Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, Pad A should be positioned at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2" from the reference point. Note that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For a RAM Crew Cab, Pad A should be positioned at 10-1/2" and Pad B at 48" from the reference point. Note that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
For a Chevrolet Express Van or GMC Savana Van, Pad A should be positioned at 7-1/2" and there is no Pad B (N/A). Note that these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. This ensures proper alignment and weight distribution.
When installing the front bracket, make sure the bracket is level with the truck. For the rear bracket, measure the height of the first bracket from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the floor board; this measurement will help you mount the rear bracket level.
The O-MEGA II is a universal application, but you must obtain a vehicle-specific bracket package. The manual provides step pad location guides for Silverado/Sierra, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, RAM, Ford F150, and Ford Super Duty. For other vehicles, contact the manufacturer.
