Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).

Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. The O-MEGA II package includes two extrusion assemblies (the step rails), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The specific extrusion length depends on your model number. A separate bracket package specific to your vehicle is required and includes its own installation instructions.
The O-MEGA II is a universal application product. However, you must purchase the bracket package designed for your specific vehicle model. The manual provides step pad location guidance for Chevrolet Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM Quad/Crew/Mega Cab, Ford F150 (Super Cab and Super Crew Cab), and Ford Super Duty (Super Cab and Crew Cab). For vehicles not listed, consult the bracket package instructions or contact the manufacturer.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill to create 1/8" holes for the step pad attachment. A wrench or socket set will be needed to tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts and end cap nuts. The manual does not provide a complete list of additional tools required. Consult the bracket package instructions for any tools specific to mounting the brackets to your vehicle.

1. Follow bracket package instructions to mount brackets to your vehicle. 2. Place step pads on top of step plates. 3. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide and attach with TEK screws. 4. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 6. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear, and install serrated flange nuts, tightening to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads with 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to position the pads for your vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for different truck and van models. For box steps, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Five 1/8" holes are drilled using the step pad as a guide for attaching the step pads to the step plates.
Five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (stainless steel, bright zinc plated) are used to attach each step pad to the step plates. These are Item #6 in the Service Parts List.
5/16" square head bolts (Item #4) are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5, stainless steel) are then installed on these bolts and tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II is universal, but requires a vehicle-specific bracket package. The manual covers Chevrolet Silverado/Sierra, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans, RAM trucks, and Ford F150/Super Duty. For other vehicles, contact the manufacturer.
