Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal side step system available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed as a universal application, meaning it can be adapted to multiple vehicle types when used with the appropriate vehicle-specific bracket package. The step assembly includes aluminum extrusions in silver or black finish, step pads, end caps, and mounting hardware.
MEGA/GRIP steps (models 401475/571475) are designed for 2014-newer RAM ProMaster vans only. The installation instructions are specific to this vehicle platform and include driver-side and passenger-side mounting procedures with vehicle-specific bracket locations and drilling requirements.
The O-MEGA II steps include aluminum step pads (part 107957). Six pads are supplied in the service parts list. Step pads are mounted on top of the step plates using 1/8" holes and 8-18×1/2" tek screws (item #6, 30 screws supplied). The exact number of pads used depends on your vehicle model; refer to the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 for your specific vehicle.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps are universal, but you must use a bracket package specific to your vehicle. The manual states: "Follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using, to mount the brackets to your vehicle." The bracket package is not included in the O-MEGA II kit and must be obtained separately for your vehicle model.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for specific vehicles including Silverado, Sierra, Express, Savana, RAM, and Ford models. Note: due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. The pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing step pads on the O-MEGA II steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five 8-18×1/2" tek screws (item #6). This drilling is required for each step pad installed.
End caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft. This is the only torque specification provided in the O-MEGA II installation instructions.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
1. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets. 2. Center the step front to rear on the vehicle. 3. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws. 4. Tighten the nuts to 19 lb ft.
Read the instructions completely and check that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. This ensures you have all necessary components before beginning the assembly process.
O-MEGA II extrusions are available in the following lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", and 122.0". Each length is available in two colors: silver (part numbers 553074–553078) and black (part numbers 553062, 553063, 553065, 553066). Two extrusions are supplied per model.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: 6 aluminum step pads (item #2), 4 plastic end caps (item #3), 28 square head bolts 5/16-18×1" (item #4), 28 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (item #5), and 30 tek screws #8-18×1/2" (item #6). Additional hardware is supplied with your vehicle-specific bracket package.
The Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 provides suggested pad locations for specific vehicles: Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, and crew cabs), Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans, RAM (quad, crew, and mega cabs), Ford F150 (super cab and super crew cab), and Ford Super Duty (super cab and crew cab). The guide notes that these locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. If your vehicle is not listed, consult the bracket package instructions or contact the manufacturer.
The RAM ProMaster MEGA/GRIP bracket package (models 401475/571475) includes: front mounting brackets (driver and passenger side), middle mounting brackets (driver and passenger side), rear mounting brackets (6 total), spacer brackets, retainer plates, washers, U-nuts, bolts, screws, and fasteners. Specific part numbers and quantities are listed in the Service Parts List on sheet 3 of the installation instructions.
RAM ProMaster MEGA/GRIP installation requires drilling multiple holes: 11/32" holes in the pinch weld for front and rear brackets, 3/16" holes in the angled surface for the second bracket and rear bracket top holes, and 1/8" holes for step pad attachment. Specific drilling locations are marked during installation. Undercoating must be scraped off to allow brackets to sit flat, and body plugs must be removed to install U-nuts.
1. Preassemble the front bracket (item #1) with spacer bracket (item #6) using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, and flange nuts; finger tighten only. 2. Mark the pinch weld for the front hole as shown in Figure 3. 3. Line up the bracket assembly with the marked hole and mark the second hole. 4. Remove the bracket and drill both marked locations using an 11/32" drill bit. 5. Fasten the bracket to the pinch weld using supplied fasteners (items #12, 13, #15). The top hole will be drilled at a later time.
1. Locate the vertical body line directly behind the driver's door and follow it down to the pinch weld; the second bracket will mount behind that line. 2. Place the bracket against the inside of the pinch weld and secure with a clamp. Scrape off undercoating so the bracket sits flat. 3. Mark the center of all four holes and remove the bracket. 4. Drill: two holes on the pinch weld and one hole toward the rear on the angled surface with 11/32" bits; one hole toward the front on the angled surface with a 3/16" bit. 5. Remove the body plug on the angled surface toward the rear. Install the ¼-20 U-nut (item #10) over the 11/32" hole. 6. Fasten the bracket using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, nuts, and retainer plate (items #5, 9, 14, 15); leave loose. Fasten the U-nut with ¼-20 bolt and washer (items #16, #17). Fasten the 3/16" hole with 5/16×¾" self-tapping screw (item #11). 7. Tighten all fasteners.
1. Place a straight edge on the flat surface of the second bracket, level with the vehicle. 2. Move the front bracket up or down so its flat surface is level with the straight edge. 3. Fasten the front bracket with spacer bracket snugly. 4. Mark the center of the top hole of the front bracket (item #1). 5. Remove the bracket assembly and drill the marked hole using an 11/32" drill bit. 6. Remove the body plug located next to the drilled hole. 7. Install the U-nut (item #10) through the body plug hole and position it over the 11/32" hole (remove undercoating if needed). 8. Reinstall the preassembled bracket using fasteners for the pinch weld area (items #12, 13, #15) and fasteners for the inner rocker panel area (items #16, #17). 9. Tighten all fasteners.
1. Preassemble rear brackets (item #8) with spacer brackets (item #7) using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, and flange nuts (items #9, 14, #15); finger tighten only. 2. Measure the distance between the pinch weld and the horizontal surface of the second bracket and record it. 3. Using measurements in Figure 3, place the preassembled brackets in those locations and mark their locations on the pinch weld. 4. Remove the bracket assembly and drill the marked locations with an 11/32" drill bit. 5. Place the bracket assemblies back in place and fasten using 5/16-18 bolts, washers, and nuts (items #12, 13, #15). 6. Ensure the vertical bracket is 90 degrees with the body and measure the distance between pinch weld and horizontal surface to match the earlier measurement. Tighten the bolts and nuts. 7. Mark one top hole for drilling. 8. Remove the bracket assembly and drill the marked hole with a 3/16" drill bit. 9. Reattach the bracket assembly. 10. Fasten the top of the bracket to the inner rocker panel using a 5/16" self-tapping screw and washer (items #9, #11) through the drilled 3/16" hole. 11. Repeat for the last two brackets in their desired locations.
Passenger-side installation is similar to driver-side. The front and middle brackets attach the same way as steps 2–4 of the driver-side installation, except the second bracket will be item #3 (passenger-side middle bracket) instead of item #2. Rear brackets attach the same as the driver-side rear bracket installation.
The O-MEGA II is a universal step that works with vehicle-specific bracket packages. You must purchase the correct bracket package for your vehicle separately. The step pads have suggested locations for Silverado, Sierra, Express, Savana, RAM, and Ford models; consult the Step Pad Location Guide or your bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
You will need a drill with a 1/8" bit to attach step pads, and tools to tighten bolts and nuts (wrench or socket set). Your vehicle-specific bracket package instructions will specify additional tools required for bracket installation.
