Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Dodge Sprinter 2500 or 3500, Freightliner Sprinter 2500 or 3500 and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 or 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are available in the following model numbers: 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. These models are designed for universal application and come in different sizes and colors (silver and black aluminum extrusions).
The 570745 Mega/Omega Steps are designed for 2007-newer Sprinter Vans. The installation instructions provide specific measurements and procedures for both driver and passenger side installation on these vehicles.
Yes. The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are available in both silver and black aluminum extrusions. The service parts list shows silver extrusions (part numbers 553074–553078) and black extrusions (part numbers 553062, 553063, 553065, 553066).
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (in your chosen size and color), 6 step pads, 4 end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion size depends on your vehicle model. You will also need a bracket package specific to your vehicle, which is ordered separately.
The 570745 kit includes: 6 mounting brackets, 3 center mounting brackets, 18 flat washers (5/16"), 5 U-nuts (5/16-18), 5 self-tapping screws (5/16 x 1.00"), 18 hex head cap screws (5/16-18 x 1.00"), 18 flat washers (5/16"), 9 spacer brackets, 9 retainer plates, 14 hex head screws (5/16-18 x 1.00"), 27 hex flange nuts (5/16-18), and 2 spacer plates. The step assembly itself is ordered separately and includes its own installation instructions.
You will need the following drill bits: 7/16" (for U-nut holes on rocker panel), 7/32" (for self-tapping screw pilot holes and lower bracket mount holes), and 11/32" (for pinch weld mounting holes). A center punch is also recommended to mark hole locations before drilling.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps require a bracket package specific to your vehicle. The manual states to "follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using, to mount the brackets to your vehicle." The bracket package is ordered separately and is not included with the step assembly.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: "READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED PARTS (LISTED ON THE SERVICE PARTS LIST) ARE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION." This applies to both the O-MEGA II universal steps and the 570745 Sprinter Van steps.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model. The manual includes a positioning guide on Sheet 2 that specifies the distance from the front of the step for Pad A and Pad B for each vehicle (e.g., Silverado/Sierra Double Cab: Pad A at 14-3/4", Pad B at 46-3/4"). The note states: "THE ABOVE PAD LOCATIONS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND MAY BE PLACED AT THE PURCHASERS DISCRETION." For vans with only one pad (Express/Savana and some Ford models), only Pad A is used.
Place the step pad on top of the step plate. Using the step pad as a guide, drill 5 holes at 1/8" diameter. Attach the pad with 5 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2") provided. Repeat for all step pads. Note: For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The installation sequence is: (1) Preassemble brackets with spacer brackets using finger-tight fasteners; (2) Install front bracket on rocker panel (procedure differs if truck has rear A/C); (3) Install rear bracket; (4) Install back two brackets with spacer plates; (5) Attach the step assembly per its own instructions. Driver and passenger sides follow similar procedures but with different measurement points and body plug locations.
Yes. Drilling is required. You must drill holes in the rocker panel (7/16" and 7/32" holes depending on location), pinch weld (11/32" holes), and possibly into the body for U-nut installation. The manual provides specific measurement points from the mud flap for each bracket location. Undercoating must be scraped away before drilling.
Yes. The manual states: "SCRAP THE UNDER COATING OFF AROUND THE BODY PLUG" before removing the plug and drilling. This applies to both driver and passenger side installations.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts that attach the step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II steps use 5/16-18 square head screws (Item #4) inserted into the slots of the mounting brackets. These are secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) tightened to 19 lb-ft. The step plates also have slots for square head bolts (Item #4) that are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates.
Five 1/8" diameter holes are drilled through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pad with #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Driver's side: Front bracket is installed approximately 9-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap. Rear bracket is installed approximately 27-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap. The height of the first bracket should be measured to help mount the second bracket level.
Passenger side: Rear brackets are installed at 48-1/2", 68-1/2", and 88-1/2" back from the front of the mud flap. The body plug locations used are the second, fourth, and sixth locations. Front brackets follow the same procedure as the driver's side (approximately 9-1/2" and 27-1/2" from the mud flap).
The 570745 uses: 5/16-18 bolts with 5/16" washers and flange nuts for bracket preassembly; 5/16-18 U-nuts for rocker panel mounting; 1/4" self-tapping screws for rear A/C equipped trucks; 7/16" holes for U-nut installation; 11/32" holes for pinch weld mounting with 5/16-18 bolts, washers, and flange nuts; and retainer plates on the back side of the pinch weld.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are designed for universal application and require a vehicle-specific bracket package (ordered separately). Confirm your vehicle model and cab style, then order the correct bracket package for your truck.
The 570745 is designed for 2007-newer Sprinter Vans only. Installation procedures differ for driver and passenger sides.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps require a vehicle-specific bracket package, which is ordered separately. Follow the instructions included with your bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
Yes. You must drill holes in the rocker panel and pinch weld using 7/16", 7/32", and 11/32" drill bits. Undercoating must be scraped away before drilling.
End cap nuts: 5 lb-ft. Serrated flange nuts securing the step to brackets: 19 lb-ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 to find the correct distance from the front of the step for your vehicle model. Pad positions are suggestions and may be adjusted at your discretion.
Place the pad on the step plate, drill 5 holes at 1/8" using the pad as a guide, and attach with 5 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). For short boxes, mount the box pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap.
