Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

The 571632 bracket kit is specifically designed for 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500 Quad/Crew Cab Pickups and 2010+ Dodge Ram HD Crew/Mega Cab Pickups and Chassis Cabs. You will need to follow the bracket installation instructions included with the 571632 kit before attaching the O-MEGA II steps.

Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
No. The manual instructs you to place the step pads on top of the step plates before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets. Drill 5 holes using the step pad as a guide and attach with the 5 TEK screws provided. This must be done before positioning the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets.
No. The manual instructs you to leave all fasteners finger-tight during the initial assembly steps. For the O-MEGA II steps, install the end caps and square head screws but do not fully tighten them until the step is positioned and centered on the brackets. For the 571632 bracket kit, leave all carriage bolts, T-bolts, and hex head screws finger-tight until all brackets and boards are installed and adjusted.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through the step plates using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with 5 TEK screws (Item #6) provided in the kit.
Yes. 2009 to 2012 Dodge Ram trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and will require drilling 2 holes of 5/16" diameter for each bracket. With the bracket in place, mark the pinch weld for drilling to ensure proper location. Trucks from 2013 onward have pre-drilled obround holes and do not require this drilling step.
Tighten the nuts on the end caps (Item #3) to 5 LB FT.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 as a reference for your particular vehicle, though the manual notes these locations are suggestions only.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinch weld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld. 4. Place a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut on each carriage bolt, leaving finger-tight. 5. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leaving finger-tight. 6. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets on the driver's side. 7. Mirror this process for the passenger side, using Item #2 for the front bracket, Item #1 for the middle bracket, and Item #4 for the rear bracket.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #11) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #12) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 3. Align and insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld. 4. Place a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut on each carriage bolt, leaving finger-tight. 5. Place a flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt's threaded stud, leaving finger-tight. 6. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. 7. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer, leaving finger-tight. 8. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets. 9. Mirror this process for the passenger side.
2009-2012 Dodge Ram trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. With the bracket in place, mark the pinch weld for drilling. 2013 and later trucks have pre-drilled obround holes in the pinch weld, so no drilling is required. Both versions follow the same installation sequence otherwise.
