The plates are made from 18-gauge stainless steel to provide a heavy-duty, rust-resistant shield, and they feature a bright, high-polish finish for a long-lasting shine. The textured finish of the rubber mud flaps is also designed to easily hide minor scuffs and scratches and maintain a clean appearance. Start on the passenger side. Attach the bracket to the studs sticking out under the passenger side, secure with 2 nuts left finger-tight, then position the mudguard and install the bolts and tap screws. Repeat the same process for the driver side.
Attach the bracket (Item #3) to the studs sticking out under the passenger side of the vehicle. Secure it with 2 nuts (Item #10) and leave them finger-tight at this stage. Do not fully tighten until after the mudguard is positioned.
The mudguard is secured to the bracket using 2 hex head bolts (Item #5) and 2 washers (Item #6) through the lower holes in the mudguard and into the bracket slot. These are secured with 2 additional washers (Item #6) and 2 nuts (Item #7), left finger-tight initially.
Once the mudguard is positioned level, install 2 washers (Items #6 and #8) and tap screws (Item #9) into the 2 top holes on the mudguard.
No. Leave the bracket nuts (Item #10) and the lower mudguard bolts and nuts (Items #5, #6, #7) finger-tight during initial assembly. Only after the mudguard is positioned against the wheel well flange and is level should you adjust and tighten all hardware.
