LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards equip your pickup truck for whatever job lies ahead. They offer easier truck bed access, fleet-level safety, a highly rust-free construction and a custom fit for your truck and lifestyle. Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are the ideal solution for better truck bed access. Whether you need to reach a truck tool box, ladder rack or some cargo in the truck bed, the wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long, providing a convenient step up for reaching into the truck bed. Grip Step running boards are also built for hard work, featuring expanded metal treads that offer fleet-approved safety. The open treads ensure maximum traction for your boots -- whether rain or shine -- and they also help keep your truck's interior clean by allowing dirt, snow and debris to pass through the boards. For superior resistance to the elements, Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are made from aluminum alloy. They're strong, lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant. To maximize this corrosion resistance, the running boards and brackets are both shielded in a durable black powder coat finish. The running boards also feature hardened plastic end caps that eliminate sharp corners and add a professional touch. All LUVERNE Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are designed for vehicle-specific applications. This ensures a custom fit and the easiest possible installation. The running boards mount with vehicle-specific brackets and use pre-existing mounting points to avoid difficult modifications. This particular set of wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Model 415114 GRIP STEPS package includes: 2 aluminum extrusion step boards (part 551388, 113.62" length), 10 upper support braces (part 551296), 4 end caps (part 551394), 14 lower spacer plates (part 551298), 20 carriage bolts 5/16-18 x 1" (part 108683), 20 flat washers 5/16" (part 101369), 20 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 8 self-drilling tek screws #8 x 1/2" (part 107958). Note that some flange nuts for the mounting brackets may be supplied in the specific bracket package, not the step package.
The Model 415114 GRIP STEPS are designed for universal applications and can be modified to fit many vehicles. However, you must order the specific bracket package for your vehicle model separately. The step board itself can be cut to the length you need using a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. Refer to the bracket package instructions for vehicle-specific fitment details.
The Model 400829 WHEEL TO WHEEL STEP BRACKETS are designed for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Pickups only. If your vehicle is older than 2008 or is not a Ford Super Duty, these brackets will not fit.
You will need a cutting tool to modify the step board length: a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. You will also need flat black paint to touch up the cut ends. For assembly and attachment, you will need standard tools to install bolts, washers, and nuts (likely a wrench or socket set for 5/16" fasteners). The specific bracket package may require additional tools; refer to those instructions.
You will need standard tools to install bolts, washers, and nuts. Specifically, you will need tools to work with 5/16" fasteners (for the main bracket attachment) and 7/16" fasteners (for the rear spring hanger attachment). The manual does not specify whether a torque wrench is required, but torque specifications are provided (19 LB FT for 5/16" fasteners and 40 LB FT for 7/16" fasteners), so a torque wrench is recommended for proper installation.
Before attaching the mounting brackets, you must install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (part 104264) in specific holes in the rocker panel. Install U-nuts in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and slide it towards the round hole until it seats. The threads must face toward the inside of the rocker panel.
Determine the length you need for your application, then cut the step board using a saber saw, chop saw, or hack saw. After cutting, use flat black paint to touch up the exposed ends. The manual does not specify minimum or maximum lengths, so consult your bracket package instructions for the appropriate length for your vehicle.
Follow this sequence: (1) Slide the appropriate number of support braces (part 551296) into the channel of the step board (part 551388). (2) Slide the end caps (part 551394) over the front and rear of each step. (3) Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screws (part 107958), screw the end caps to the bottom of the step. After assembly, the step is ready to attach to the mounting brackets.
Follow this sequence: (1) Set the step on the mounting brackets. (2) Slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. (3) Attach the flat spacer plate (part 551298) to the bottom of the step, between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. (4) Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolts (part 108683), washers (part 101369), and flange nuts (part 102680), attach the step assembly, spacer plate, and mounting bracket together. (5) Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Position the front bracket (part 551855) and side brackets (part 551854) on the vehicle so that the top hole lines up with the installed multi-thread U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of the bracket with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (part 100647) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (part 100034). Attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (part 106997), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (part 106998), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (part 102680). Level the brackets and tighten the bolts to 19 LB FT. Note: The front mounting bracket has a 3/16" offset at the top.
Attach the rear inboard mounting bracket (part 551642) against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so that the flat surfaces meet and the short leg is in a vertical position. Install a 7/16-14 x 1-1/2" hex head screw (part 100070) and flat washer (part 100081) down through the top of the bracket and the spring shackle mount. Attach the 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (part 103737) and washer (part 100081). Tighten to 40 LB FT.
Install the bottom outboard mounting bracket (part 551878) so that its vertical surface meets the inboard bracket. At the top mounting location, install one 3/8-16 double-ended stud (part 104687), three serrated 3/8-16 nuts (part 100181), one flat washer (part 100062), and one rubber washer (part 102592). Position the rubber washer end so it is located on the head of the bolt that fastens the leaf spring. Then install two 5/16-18 x 1.00" hex head cap screws (part 100647), washers (part 100034), and serrated flange nuts (part 102680). Finger-tighten these fasteners until the step is in place, then tighten the 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Torque all 5/16-18 carriage bolts, washers, and flange nuts to 19 LB FT.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT. Torque all 7/16" fasteners to 40 LB FT.
The carriage bolts are 5/16-18 x 1" (part 108683). They are used with 5/16" flat washers (part 101369) and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (part 102680).
The top of each bracket is attached with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (part 100647) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (part 100034). The bottom is attached to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (part 106997), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (part 106998), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (part 102680). All 5/16" fasteners are torqued to 19 LB FT.
A 7/16-14 x 1-1/2" hex head cap screw (part 100070) and 7/16" flat washer (part 100081) are installed through the top of the bracket and spring shackle mount. A 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (part 103737) and washer (part 100081) are attached to the bottom. All 7/16" fasteners are torqued to 40 LB FT.
At the top mounting location: one 3/8-16 double-ended stud (part 104687), three 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts (part 100181), one 3/8" flat washer (part 100062), and one rubber washer 0.354" ID x 1.00" OD x 0.75" thick (part 102592).
