Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are designed for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Pickups. They are available in Extended Cab models (477097, 477101, 477113) and Crew Cab models (477102, 477108, 477114, 477125). Each model is sized for a specific bed length: Extended Cabs come in 96", 100", and 112" lengths, while Crew Cabs come in 100", 106", 112", and 123" lengths.
Yes. The Regal 7 Oval Steps (boards only) require the Model 400829 wheel-to-wheel step brackets to mount to your Ford Super Duty. The brackets are not included with the step assembly. You must follow the bracket installation instructions before attaching the steps.
The step assembly includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts for attaching the steps to the mounting brackets. The complete parts list also includes end caps, step pads, carriage bolts (10-24 x 0.50" and 10-24 x 1.0"), nylock nuts (10-24), and support mounting plates. Refer to the Service Parts List on page 5 for the complete inventory and part numbers.
Yes. The step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. You do not need to assemble the step itself; you only need to attach it to the mounting brackets.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, and #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket together. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT torque.
1. Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the rocker panel (top rear hole of first, second, and third patterns, and front top hole of fifth/rear pattern), with threads facing inward. 2. Attach the front and side mounting brackets (items #1 and #2) to the vehicle using 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screws at the top (with U-nuts) and 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screws at the bottom (into pinch weld). 3. Attach the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #9) to the top of the vehicle spring hanger using 7/16-14 x 1-1/2" hex head screws. 4. Attach the bottom outboard mounting bracket (item #10) using a 3/8-16 double-ended stud, serrated nuts, washers, and rubber washer at the top, and 5/16-18 x 1.00" hex head cap screws at the bottom. Finger-tighten until the step is in place. 5. Refer to the step assembly instructions for final attachment.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT.

Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes in the rocker panel and slide the U-nut towards the round hole until it seats. The threads must face inward (toward the inside of the rocker panel).
The rubber washer (item #17, 0.354 ID x 1.00 OD x 0.75 THK) is positioned on the head of the bolt that fastens the leaf spring. It is installed as part of the 3/8-16 double-ended stud assembly at the top mounting location of the bottom outboard bracket (item #10).
No. The instructions specify to finger-tighten the fasteners on the bottom outboard mounting bracket (item #10) until the step is in place. Final tightening occurs after the step assembly is attached and positioned correctly.
The front mounting bracket (item #1) has a 3/16" offset at the top of the bracket. This offset is designed to ensure proper alignment when positioning the bracket so that the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut in the rocker panel.
The U-nuts are 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #8, part number 104264). Eight U-nuts are included in the bracket kit, but only four are installed: three in the top rear holes of the first, second, and third patterns, and one in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern.
The top of the brackets is attached with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #7), which bolt into the U-nuts in the rocker panel. The bottom of the brackets is attached to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (item #3), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (item #4), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #5).
The rear inboard mounting bracket (item #9) is attached using a 7/16-14 x 1-1/2" hex head screw (item #11) and flat washer (item #13) installed down through the top of the bracket and the spring shackle mount, with a 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (item #12) and washer (item #13) securing it from below. These fasteners must be torqued to 40 LB FT.
The bottom outboard mounting bracket (item #10) is attached at the top using a 3/8-16 double-ended stud (item #14, 7.00" long), three serrated 3/8-16 nuts (item #15), one flat washer (item #14), and one rubber washer (item #15). At the bottom, two 5/16-18 x 1.00" hex head cap screws (item #6), washers (item #7), and serrated flange nuts (item #5) are used. These bottom fasteners are finger-tightened until the step is in place.
The rear inboard mounting bracket (item #9) is attached against the top of the vehicle spring hanger with flat surfaces meeting and the short leg in a vertical position. The bottom outboard mounting bracket (item #10) is then installed so that its vertical surface meets the inboard bracket.

You must purchase the Model 400829 wheel-to-wheel step brackets separately. These brackets are designed specifically for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Pickups and are required to mount the steps to your vehicle.
No drilling is required. The Model 400829 brackets use existing holes in the rocker panel and pinch weld. U-nuts are installed in existing rocker panel access holes, and fasteners bolt into the U-nuts and existing pinch weld holes.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT and all 7/16" fasteners to 40 LB FT. These specifications apply to both the bracket installation and step attachment.
