Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are pre-assembled step boards available in three lengths: model 477078 (76 inches), model 477088 (86 inches), and model 477098 (96 inches). Each model includes left and right step assemblies. The steps come with end caps, step pads, and all fasteners needed to attach them to mounting brackets. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly.
The Model 400829 Wheel to Wheel Step Brackets are designed for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Pickups. The brackets are not compatible with other vehicle makes or model years.
The Regal 7 Oval Steps (models 477078, 477088, 477098) are universal applications. They are designed to mount to any compatible bracket system. The steps themselves are not vehicle-specific; the vehicle compatibility is determined by the mounting bracket package you use.
The Regal 7 Oval Steps include: 16 black stainless steel hex head cap screws (5/16-18 x 1.0 inch), 16 stainless steel flat washers (5/16 inch), 16 stainless steel serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), 8 galvanized support mounting plates (11 gauge), 8 black plastic end caps, 24 black carriage bolts (10-24 x 1.0 inch), 24 stainless steel nylock nuts (10-24), 8 shorter carriage bolts (10-24 x 0.50 inch), and 4 black plastic step pads (25 inch x 6.5 inch).
The 400829 bracket kit includes: 8 black stainless steel hex head cap screws (5/16-18 x 1.0 inch, BZP), 8 stainless steel flat washers (5/16 inch, BZP), 10 stainless steel serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), 10 zinc-plated hex head cap screws (5/16-18 x 1.0 inch), 10 zinc-plated flat washers (5/16 inch), 8 black steel multi-thread U-nuts (5/16-18), 2 zinc-plated hex head cap screws (7/16-14 x 1.5 inch), 2 zinc-plated serrated flange nuts (7/16-14), 4 zinc-plated flat washers (7/16 inch), 2 zinc-plated flat washers (3/8 inch), 2 rubber washers (0.354 inch ID x 1.00 inch OD x 0.75 inch thick), and 2 zinc-plated double-ended studs (3/8-16 x 7.00 inch).
Yes. The manual states: 'Follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package that you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle.' The bracket installation must be completed before you attach the step assembly. For the 400829 brackets on Ford Super Duty trucks, detailed bracket installation instructions are provided in the manual.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1 inch black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, and #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners and torque all 5/16 inch fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
Install 5/16 inch multi-thread U-nuts (item #8) in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes in the rocker panel and slide the U-nut towards the round hole until it seats. The threads must be positioned to the inside of the rocker panel.
Position the front bracket (item #1) and rear brackets (item #2) so the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top with a 5/16 inch x 1.00 inch zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6) and 5/16 inch zinc-plated flat washer (item #7). Attach the bottom to the pinch weld with a 5/16 inch x 1.00 inch black-plated hex head cap screw (item #3), 5/16 inch black-plated flat washer (item #4), and 5/16 inch serrated flange nut (item #5). Level the brackets and tighten the bolts. Note: The front mounting bracket has a 3/16 inch offset at the top.
Attach the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #9) against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so that the flat surfaces meet and the short leg is in a vertical position. Install a 7/16-14 x 1.5 inch hex head screw and flat washer (items #11 and #13) down through the top of the bracket and the spring shackle mount. Attach the 7/16-14 serrated flange nut and washer (items #12 and #13). Torque the 7/16 inch fasteners to 40 lb-ft.
Install the bottom outboard mounting bracket (item #10) so the vertical surface meets the inboard bracket. At the top mounting location, install one 3/8-16 double-ended stud (item #14), three 3/8-16 serrated nuts (item #15), one washer (item #16), and one rubber washer (item #17). Position the rubber washer on the head of the bolt that fastens the leaf spring. Then install two 5/16-18 x 1.00 inch hex head cap screws with washers and serrated flange nuts (items #6, #7, and #5). Finger-tighten these fasteners until the step is in place, then torque the 5/16 inch fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
All 5/16 inch fasteners on the Regal 7 Oval Steps must be torqued to 19 lb-ft.

The Regal 7 Oval Steps are attached to the mounting brackets using 5/16-18 x 1 inch black stainless steel hex head cap screws (item #10), along with matching washers (item #11) and serrated flange nuts (item #12).
The 400829 brackets use a 3/8-16 double-ended stud, 7.00 inches long (item #14), installed at the top mounting location of the bottom outboard bracket to connect to the leaf spring.
The rubber washer (item #17) must be positioned on the head of the bolt that fastens the leaf spring. This is part of the top mounting location assembly for the bottom outboard bracket.
No. The manual states to 'finger-tighten these fasteners until the step is in place.' Only after the step assembly is positioned should you proceed to final torquing of the fasteners.

U-nuts must be installed in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern, with threads positioned to the inside of the rocker panel.
