LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the MODEL 401117 is designed for 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra pickups in Regular, Extended, and Crew Cab configurations. Confirm your vehicle year and cab style before ordering.
The manual specifies fitment for 1999 models only. The manual does note that 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles have excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area, which suggests these are different vehicles. Contact CURT or a fitment database to confirm compatibility with 2010+ models.
The bracket package includes: front, center, and rear cab mounting brackets (left and right); rear inboard cab mounting brackets; spring hanger mounting brackets (inboard and outboard); load reaction studs; rubber and flat washers; serrated flange nuts; bolts; and a 90-degree bracket. The step assembly itself is sold separately and includes its own installation instructions.
The step assembly is sold separately. The 401117 package includes only the mounting brackets and hardware. You must obtain the step assembly and follow its included installation instructions to complete the installation.
You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts. The manual specifies removing one side of the vehicle at a time. For 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra, use caution when removing body mount bolts because excessive thread locker is present, which can damage the threaded inserts inside the vehicle.
Yes. You must loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #23) up behind the flange of the bolt. The bolt is not fully removed, only loosened for bracket positioning.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (Item #11): install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (Item #10) backwards to the bottom of the thread, then install a black 3/8" flat washer (Item #9) and rubber cushion washer (Item #8) tight against the nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard side of the bracket through the lowest hole in the bent flange that allows the rubber washer to set firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black flange nut (Item #10) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only at this stage.
No. The 90-degree bracket (Item #14) is required only if you are mounting the steps on a 1500 model pickup. Attach it to brackets Item #1 and #2 to use the load reaction stud on that model.
Install the front mounting brackets (Item #1 and #2) to the front cab mount and the center mounting brackets (Item #3 and #4) to the center cab mount as shown in the manual figures. Leave all fasteners finger tight at this stage; do not fully tighten until instructed.
Yes. Both Extended and Crew Cab models use the rear inboard mounting bracket (Item #7) and washer (Item #13), but the rear outboard bracket (Item #5 and #6) attachment differs. Extended Cab uses the bottom single hole and top double holes of the rear inboard bracket. Crew Cab uses the bottom single hole and bottom double holes. Refer to Figure 1 in the manual for the correct hole configuration for your cab style.
The rear outboard cab mounting bracket (Item #5 and #6) must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard cab mounting bracket (Item #7), towards the rear of the vehicle. Bolts must be inserted through the front side of the bracket so the serrated flange nuts are on the back side, allowing clearance for the truck frame.
Position the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #23) behind the flange of the spring hanger bolt with the channel open to the outboard side. Install the outboard spring hanger mounting bracket (Item #22) so its inboard vertical portion fits inside the channel of the inboard bracket. Use a 3/8" zinc plated bolt (Item #20), 3/8" washer (Item #21), 1/2" washer (Item #18), and 3/8" zinc plated nylock nut (Item #19). Do not tighten these bolts until the bracket is attached to the step assembly.
Torque the bolts connecting the rear outboard cab mounting bracket (Item #5 and #6) to the rear inboard cab mounting bracket (Item #7) to 19 lb. ft. This applies to both Extended and Crew Cab models.
The manual states to tighten body mount bolts and spring hanger bolts per manufacturer's specifications but does not provide specific torque values. Consult the GM factory service manual for your vehicle year and model for the correct torque specifications.
Install all mounting brackets finger tight initially. Do not fully tighten the spring hanger bolts until the bracket is attached to the step assembly. After the step assembly is installed, tighten the body mount bolts and spring hanger bolts per manufacturer's specifications. Refer to the step assembly installation instructions for the complete tightening sequence.
CURT Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007-2017 Chevrolet GMC Trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle. Periodically check that all fasteners remain tight.
2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra vehicles have excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area. Removing these bolts without caution can damage the threaded inserts inside the vehicle. Use care and consider professional installation if you are unfamiliar with this procedure.
