LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the 571438W2W MEGA BRACKETS are designed for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups. If your truck is older than 2014, these brackets are not compatible.
The 571438W2W MEGA BRACKETS are designed for 2014+ RAM 2500 pickups. However, 2009-2012 RAM trucks can be fitted with these brackets if you drill two 5/16" holes in the pinchweld for each bracket. The drilling location is determined by positioning the bracket in place and marking the pinchweld. This modification is permanent.
The kit includes: 2 front/middle brackets (LH and RH), 2 middle/front brackets (RH and LH), 1 rear bracket (LH), 1 rear bracket (RH), 2 upper mounting brackets (LH and RH inboard), 2 lower mounting brackets (LH/RH), 12 carriage bolts (1/4-20 X 1"), 12 flat washers (1/4"), 12 flange nuts (1/4-20), 12 hex head screws (M8 X 25mm), 12 flat washers (5/16"), 6 hex flange nuts (M8), 6 T-bolt weldments, 6 plastic bolt retainers, 4 hex head screws (3/8-16 X 1.0"), 4 flat washers (3/8"), and 4 serrated flange nuts (3/8-16).
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the obround holes in the pinchweld. 2. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. Add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10) to each bolt, leaving them finger tight. 3. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leaving it finger tight. 4. Repeat for the middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets. 5. For the passenger side, use Item #2 for the front bracket, Item #1 for the middle bracket, and Item #4 for the rear bracket, mirroring the driver's side installation.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud exposed. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. Add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10) to each bolt, leaving them finger tight. 4. Place a flat washer (Item #12) and M8 flange nut (Item #13) on the T-bolt's threaded stud, leaving finger tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12), leaving finger tight. 6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets. 7. For the passenger side, use Item #2 for the front bracket, Item #1 for the middle bracket, and Item #4 for the rear bracket, mirroring the driver's side installation.
Yes. 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld, so you must drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, position the bracket in place against the pinchweld, then mark the pinchweld for drilling. This is a permanent modification to the vehicle.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6, depending on side) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. 4. Fasten the lower bracket (Item #7) to the upper bracket using the two lower holes in the upper bracket with a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (Items #16, #17, #18). Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust all brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and fit before final tightening.
The lower bracket (Item #7) is fastened to the upper bracket (Items #5 or #6) using two 3/8-16 X 1.0" hex head screws (Item #16), 3/8" flat washers (Item #17), and 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts (Item #18).
The lower mounting flange of each bracket is attached to the pinchweld using two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8), 1/4" flat washers (Item #9), and 1/4-20 flange nuts (Item #10). The upper mounting flange is attached using an M8 X 25mm hex head screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12).
The plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) is attached to the threaded stud of the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel during installation on trucks without threaded inserts.
The passenger side installation is a mirror image of the driver's side. On the driver's side, use Item #1 (front bracket), Item #2 (middle bracket), and Item #3 (rear bracket). On the passenger side, use Item #2 (front bracket), Item #1 (middle bracket), and Item #4 (rear bracket). All other installation steps remain the same.
Insert the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole in the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first. Leave the threaded stud sticking out of the obround hole. Be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel. Then attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the threaded stud to keep the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel.
After placing the flat washer (Item #12) and M8 flange nut (Item #13) on the T-bolt's threaded stud, rotate the T-bolt so that the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Then insert the M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) through the slot.
The 571438W2W MEGA BRACKETS fit 2014 and newer RAM 2500 pickups. 2009-2012 models can be fitted with drilling of two 5/16" holes per bracket.
