LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the ultimate combination of deluxe style and reliable functionality. They feature extra rear step pads for convenient truck bed access, a highly rust-resistant construction and a vehicle-specific fit for your truck. Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for practical access to the bed of your truck, featuring an extended length and extra rear step pads. Wheel-to-wheel running boards give you a solid step up for easily reaching items in the truck bed, such as a truck tool box, ladder rack, 5th wheel hitch or other equipment. Regal 7 oval side steps are fitted with large, non-skid step pads. They feature a 7" width and a textured surface, providing enhanced comfort and safety when climbing in and out of your pickup truck. The step pads and matching end caps of Regal 7 wheel-to-wheel steps are angled for a sleek accent. To ensure excellent strength and lasting corrosion resistance, Regal 7 oval side steps are constructed from stainless steel. The stainless steel tubing measures 7" wide and has an elliptical shape for style and strength. All Regal 7 side steps are designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific brackets. The brackets are built from strong carbon steel and have a durable black powder coat finish. They install using pre-existing mounting points on the truck to greatly reduce installation time and eliminate tedious modifications. This particular set of LUVERNE Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
Regal 7 oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are designed to be the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. They have full-width step pads for non-skid comfort and safety.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. You will only need to attach the pre-assembled step to the mounting brackets.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16"-18 × 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, and #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT torque.
The bracket installation process involves three main steps: (1) Attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle using either 5/16"-18 × 1.0" screws (if your vehicle has U-nuts in the rocker panel) or M8 × 30 mm screws (if your vehicle has threaded inserts). Hand tighten initially. (2) Insert a nylon washer between the top of the bracket and the rocker panel, then install the M8-1.25 screw and washer. Place the pinch weld support bracket above the pinch weld and install the M8 flange nut. Tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT. (3) Attach the spring hanger mounting brackets against the side of the vehicle spring hanger. Loosen the spring hanger bolt, slide the inboard bracket behind the bolt flange, install the outboard bracket, and secure with the 3/8" bolt, washers, and nylock nut. Do not tighten the spring hanger bolts until the step assembly is attached. Finally, tighten the spring hanger bolt per GM manufacturer specifications.
Yes. To install the spring hanger mounting brackets, you must loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough so that the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket (item #14) can be slid up behind the flange of the bolt. Position the inboard bracket behind the flange with the channel open to the outboard side, then install the outboard bracket (item #13) using the 3/8" bolt, washers, and nylock nut. Do not tighten these bolts until the step assembly is attached. After the step is attached, tighten the spring hanger bolt per GM manufacturer specifications.
All 5/16" fasteners on the step assembly must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This includes the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step to the mounting brackets and support mounting plates.
All fasteners on the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 LB FT. This includes the 5/16"-18 × 1.0" screws and M8 screws that attach the top of the brackets to the vehicle, as well as the M8 flange nuts at the pinch weld. The spring hanger bolt must be tightened per GM manufacturer specifications after the step assembly is attached.
Yes. Some vehicles have threaded inserts in the rocker panels and do not require U-nut installation. If your vehicle has threaded inserts, use the black M8 × 30 mm screw (item #3) in place of the 5/16"-18 × 1.0" screw. If your vehicle does not have threaded inserts, insert the 5/16" multi-thread U-nut (item #7) into the upper holes in the rocker panel before attaching the bracket.
Yes. When attaching the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle, hand tighten the 5/16"-18 × 1.0" screws or M8 × 30 mm screws first. After all brackets are positioned and the step assembly is attached, apply final torque of 19 LB FT to all fasteners.
Curt Group recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E: Clunking Noise from Rear of Vehicle (Re-torque Leaf Spring Bolts) for 2007–2017 Chevrolet GMC Trucks. Failure to regularly inspect and maintain factory-recommended torque values may result in damage to the vehicle. Periodically check that the spring hanger bolts remain at the correct torque specification.
The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly.
The standard assembly includes six 25" × 6.5" black plastic step pads (item #108909). Two optional 15" × 6.5" step pads (item #108913) are available if needed for your specific application.
Yes, the 400717 bracket fits all 2007 GM Silverado and Sierra Regular, Extended, and Crew Cab models. The Regal 7 Oval Step is available in four Crew Cab lengths (100", 106", 112", 123") and three Extended Cab lengths (96", 100", 112"). Confirm your cab style and bed length before ordering.
The step is pre-assembled from the factory. You only need to attach it to the mounting brackets using the supplied 5/16"-18 × 1" hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts, then torque all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
All 5/16" fasteners on both the step assembly and mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 LB FT. The spring hanger bolt must be tightened per GM manufacturer specifications after the step is attached.
Some 2007 Silverado and Sierra models have threaded inserts in the rocker panels and do not require U-nuts. If your vehicle does not have threaded inserts, insert the 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts into the upper rocker panel holes. If it has threaded inserts, use the M8 × 30 mm screws instead of the 5/16"-18 × 1.0" screws.
Yes. Loosen the spring hanger bolt just enough to slide the inboard spring hanger mounting bracket behind the bolt flange. Do not fully tighten the spring hanger bolts until the step assembly is attached. After the step is installed, tighten the spring hanger bolt per GM manufacturer specifications.
Curt recommends regular inspection and maintenance of the leaf spring attachment point per GM Technical Service Bulletin 09-03-09-001E. Periodically re-torque the spring hanger bolts to factory specifications to prevent clunking noise and vehicle damage.
