Want to take the family on a cross-country adventure? Or perhaps you're planning a shorter trip to your favorite campground. Whatever your destination, it's important to have the right equipment, especially when towing a fifth wheel trailer. To ensure proper hookup and safety while towing, you'll need something to attach your fifth wheel hitch in the bed on your truck. Many pickups come equipped with factory-installed rails or puck systems, but if you don't have one of these already installed, don't worry. REESE has an extensive line of mounting rails and bracket kits, custom-made to the exact specifications needed based on your truck's year, make, and model. REESE also offers several Industry Standard designs, as well as fastener kits, spacer kits, and a Power Puck mounting kit, so you can be sure you're covered, no matter what pickup you're using to tow. So make it easy. Make it fun. Make it REESE, so you can make the journey as enjoyable as the destination.

Reese has designed towing equipment since 1952 and remains a benchmark for heavy-duty towing. The line covers fifth wheel hitches such as the modular M5, gooseneck couplers including the Goose Box, air-ride and short-bed pin boxes, weight distribution systems with active sway control, and the accessories that connect them, all built to exceed published industry standards.
Reese has been pioneering towing performance since 1952, when Margaret Reese asked her husband TJ to stop travel trailers rocking every time somebody walked through them. His answer, the first pair of stabilising jacks, was simple and effective enough to change the RV industry. From that starting point Reese grew into a designer and manufacturer of complete towing systems, and today it anchors the heavy-duty end of the Horizon Global towing portfolio.
Fifth wheel towing is where the brand's engineering is most visible. The M5 fifth wheel hitch uses a modular design that breaks into manageable sections for assembly, with a wider stance, tighter tolerances and a shock absorption system aimed at the jolts that travel up through a truck bed. For owners who would rather tow from a gooseneck coupler and keep the bed clear, the Goose Box 20K replaces the trailer's king pin with a gooseneck connection carrying its own air-ride cushioning.
Pin boxes are a Reese speciality. The 5th Airborne uses air-ride technology to dampen road shock and reduce the chucking motion that makes fifth wheel towing tiring, while the Sidewinder was designed for short-bed pickups, pivoting the connection point so the trailer can turn sharply without the front cap meeting the cab.
For conventional towing, Reese weight distribution systems restore load to the tow vehicle's front axle and control sway. The Pro Round Bar distributes weight evenly while damping sway, and the Pro Dual Cam II uses active cam-based sway control that works harder the stronger the sway force becomes. Complete kits pair bars, head and shank to a rated tongue weight, and dedicated sway control kits can be added to existing setups. The products suit RV owners, horse and livestock haulers and anyone towing near the upper end of a vehicle's rating.

The Reese 56019 is a mounting kit designed to install a Reese 30153 5th wheel hitch on 2023+ Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks. It uses 11 bolts to secure two mounting rails to the truck bed and frame, and includes all necessary hardware, galvanic isolators, spacers, and fasteners for installation.
Yes, the 56019 is designed for all bed lengths on 2023+ Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks. However, if your truck has a 5-1/2' bed, a sidewinder pin box coupler must be installed on the trailer before towing.
No. Plastic bed liners must be cut out of the way to provide metal-to-metal contact between the mounting rails and the truck bed. Spray-in bed liners are permitted and the rails may be installed over them.
You will need: wrenches (3/4" and 15/16"), drill bits (1/8", 9/16", and 1-1/8"), a center punch, a measuring tape, and a torque wrench. The fastener kit 56017F is supplied with the mounting kit.
The kit includes fastener kit 56017F containing: 4× 5/8-11 x 4-1/4" Grade 8 hex head bolts (6), 4× 5/8-11 Grade 8 nuts (7), 4× 5/8" flat washers (8), 4× 5/8" conical washers (9), 3× 1/2-13 x 5.50" Grade 8 carriage bolts (2), 5× 1/2 x 1 x 2" spacer blocks (3), 12× 1/4 x 1 x 2" U-shaped spacers (4), 3× 0.250 x 1.5 x 3" spacer blocks (5), 3× tube spacers (18), and galvanic isolator strips and patches. Additional 1/2-13 carriage bolts (15), nuts (13), and conical washers (14) are supplied with the 30153 rail kit.
You may need to lower and remove the spare tire if extra room is needed for installation. If your truck has an inner plastic wheel well liner, you must remove it to allow access to the frame.
Galvanic isolator strips protect the aluminum truck bed from corrosion caused by contact between bare steel components (frame brackets, spacers, and mounting rails) and the aluminum bed. They must be installed on all surfaces that will contact the truck bed to prevent corrosion over the life of the installation.
1. Remove spare tire and wheel well liners if needed. 2. Place galvanic isolator strips on rail undersides. 3. Position rear mounting rail, center it, and mark holes. 4. Drill 1/8" pilot holes through bed and crossmember. 5. Install galvanic isolators on frame brackets and loosely install brackets. 6. Install frame bolts hand-tight. 7. Verify 1/8" holes align with bracket slots; adjust if needed. 8. Enlarge all rail bolt holes to 9/16". 9. Enlarge Row 3 holes in bed only to 1-1/8" (not crossmember). 10. Install spacers in Row 3 locations. 11. Reposition rail. 12. Install rear rail bolts with isolators and tighten snug. 13. Position 5th wheel and second rail. 14-16. Repeat for front rail. 17. Torque all hardware. 18. Replace wheel well liners and spare tire.
First, drill 1/8" pilot holes to verify alignment. Then enlarge all rail bolt holes to 9/16". For Row 3 (which passes through the truck bed crossmember), enlarge the holes in the truck bed only to 1-1/8"; do not enlarge the hole in the truck bed crossmember to 1-1/8". Ensure 1/8" holes in Row 3 pass through both the truck bed and the crossmember.
Yes. When drilling holes, be aware of potential risks to vehicle components above and below the truck bed. Take appropriate safeguards to protect them from damage. After drilling through the bed, repaint any areas where holes were drilled to prevent corrosion.
Torque all 1/2" Grade 8 hardware to 110 ft-lbs. Torque all 5/8" Grade 8 hardware to 212 ft-lbs. First torque the bed mounting rails to the frame brackets, then torque the frame brackets to the truck frame.
The rear edge of the rear mounting rail should be positioned 29-1/8" from the rear edge of the truck bed, as shown in Figure 2.
The kit uses 11 bolts total to mount the two rails to the truck bed and frame.
You must not exceed the towing vehicle manufacturer's recommended vehicle towing capacity. Refer to the mounting bracket rating label for the correct towing capacity of the installed system.
You can install the kit on a 5-1/2' bed truck, but you must not attempt to tow with it unless a sidewinder pin box coupler has been installed on the trailer.
After installation, always measure the truck and trailer to ensure there is clearance at the cab and at the bumper to allow for turns. Verify that all bolts are tightened to the correct torque specifications.
Check the mounting system bolt tightness once per year to ensure the installation remains secure.
Yes, the 56019 is designed for all bed lengths on 2023+ Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks. On 5-1/2' beds, a sidewinder pin box coupler must be installed on the trailer.
You need wrenches (3/4" and 15/16"), drill bits (1/8", 9/16", 1-1/8"), a center punch, measuring tape, and a torque wrench. All fasteners are supplied.
Yes. You must drill 1/8" pilot holes, then enlarge them to 9/16" for most locations and 1-1/8" for Row 3 bed holes only (not the crossmember).
Torque 1/2" Grade 8 hardware to 110 ft-lbs and 5/8" Grade 8 hardware to 212 ft-lbs. Torque bed rails to frame brackets first, then frame brackets to truck frame.
No. Plastic bed liners must be cut away to expose metal. Spray-in liners are permitted.
Check bolt tightness once per year.
If the 1/8" holes drilled in Step 4 do not align with the slots of the frame bracket, adjust the frame brackets as needed and re-check alignment. If the holes still do not align, you must restart the installation at Step 4, repositioning the mounting rail and drilling new pilot holes.
Ensure the second rail is centered between the weld seams on the truck bed floor. If multiple hitch products are being used, both should be positioned simultaneously during alignment to ensure proper fit. If the rail still does not fit snugly, verify that all bolts in the first rail are tightened snug and that the rail is properly positioned before attempting to install the second rail.
