UWS crossover truck tool boxes are the tried-and-true way of keeping your tools organized, on-hand and fully secure no matter where you and your truck roam. Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. This particular tool box features a gull wing top with two lockable, key-operated lids, providing convenient half-box access from either the driver side or passenger side of the truck. To give the lids reliable strength, they feature our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases structural integrity to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lids also feature self-opening struts to make it easy to open the tool box when your hands are full. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, each lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. UWS crossover truck tool boxes make it easy to keep your tools and other items organized, featuring built-in screwdriver holders and a three-compartment sliding tool tray. The tool box itself is easy to install and is available in multiple sizes to provide the perfect for your truck and lifestyle. Like all UWS products, each crossover truck tool box is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability (NOTE: This product is heavily packaged for parcel shipping).

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The UWS Bright Aluminum 60" Gull Wing Crossover Truck Tool Box (Heavy Packaging) EC10041 (Part #BHSGEC10041) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The package includes one crossover truck tool box, one key, one divider tray (not included with all models), two rail pads, two 3-inch J-hooks, two 1/4" washers, and two 1/4" nuts. Note that the divider tray is not included with all models, so check your specific package contents.
The tool box is designed to fit truck beds with rails. The manual does not specify which vehicle models, bed lengths, or cab styles are compatible. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific truck before purchasing.
You must verify clearance during installation. In Step 1, open the tool box lid and ensure there is clearance between the open lid, the top, and the back of the cab. This check is required before finalizing the installation, as clearance varies by truck model and cab style.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. These are the only tools listed as required in the manual.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Place the tool box in the truck bed with the adhesive rail pads attached to the underside of the tool box ends. Using a tape measure, ensure the tool box is centered in the truck bed. Check clearance with the lid open to ensure there is clearance between the open lid, top and back of the cab before proceeding.
Place a J-hook under the lip of the bed rail and insert the threaded end up through the slot. Use only one hole and J-hook assembly on each side. Attach with a washer and nut, and snug the hardware but do not fully tighten at this stage. Repeat on the other side, then re-measure to ensure the tool box is centered and allows lid clearance when open. Finally, fully tighten all hardware.
1. Place the tool box in the truck bed and attach adhesive rail pads to the underside of the tool box ends. 2. Center the tool box using a tape measure and verify lid clearance with the cab. 3. Place J-hooks under the bed rail lips and insert threaded ends through the slots. 4. Attach with washers and nuts, snug but do not fully tighten. 5. Re-measure for centering and lid clearance. 6. Fully tighten all hardware. 7. Adjust strikers if needed and lubricate them and locks for optimum performance.
The torque specification for 1/4" bolts is 3 ft-lbs. This is a general guideline. If you purchase replacement hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware instead.

Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Open the tool box lid and verify clearance between the open lid, top and back of the cab. With the tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
