UWS crossover truck tool boxes are the tried-and-true way of keeping your tools organized, on-hand and fully secure no matter where you and your truck roam. Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. This particular tool box features a gull wing top with two lockable, key-operated lids, providing convenient half-box access from either the driver side or passenger side of the truck. To give the lids reliable strength, they feature our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases structural integrity to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lids also feature self-opening struts to make it easy to open the tool box when your hands are full. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, each lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. UWS crossover truck tool boxes make it easy to keep your tools and other items organized, featuring built-in screwdriver holders and a three-compartment sliding tool tray. The tool box itself is easy to install and is available in multiple sizes to provide the perfect for your truck and lifestyle. Like all UWS products, each crossover truck tool box is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The UWS Bright Aluminum 63" Gull Wing Crossover Truck Tool Box TB-63 (Part #BHSGTB-63) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The package includes one crossover truck tool box, one key, one divider tray (not included with all models), two rail pads, two 3-inch J-hooks, two 1/4" washers, and two 1/4" nuts. Note that the divider tray is not included with all models, so check your specific package contents.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. These are the only tools specified as required for installation.
The manual does not specify which truck models or bed lengths are compatible with this tool box. Contact UWS customer support at 877-287-8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
You must verify clearance during installation. In Step 1, open the tool box lid and ensure there is clearance between the open lid, top, and back of the cab. If clearance is insufficient, the tool box may not be suitable for your vehicle configuration.
The manual warns to check under your truck before drilling into the truck bed to ensure the drill location does not puncture brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. However, the manual does not explicitly state whether drilling is required for this specific product. Contact the manufacturer or your installer to confirm whether drilling is necessary for your installation.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut, or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Precaution must also be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Place the tool box in the truck bed and check clearance with the lid open. Attach the adhesive side of the rail pads to the underside of the tool box ends. Place the tool box with the adhered rail pads on top of the truck bed rails. Using a tape measure, ensure the tool box is centered in the truck bed. Open the lid and verify there is clearance between the open lid, top, and back of the cab.
Place a J-hook under the lip of the bed rail and insert the threaded end up through the slot. Use only one hole and J-hook assembly on each side. Attach with a washer and nut. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten at this stage. Repeat on the other side. After re-measuring to ensure the tool box is centered and allows lid clearance when open, fully tighten all hardware.
You should snug the hardware but not fully tighten it initially. This allows you to re-measure and adjust the tool box position to ensure it is centered in the truck bed and that the lid has proper clearance when open. Only after confirming correct positioning should you fully tighten all hardware.
The torque specification for 1/4" bolts is 3 ft-lbs. Note that these are general guidelines. If you purchase additional hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
The J-hooks are secured with 1/4" washers and nuts. The torque specification for 1/4" bolts is 3 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if you purchase hardware separately, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.

Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify the tool box's weight capacity; refer to your vehicle's owner manual or contact the manufacturer for the truck bed's maximum load capacity.
