Angled design to accommodate unique bed sizes and wheel well shapes

| Material | Aluminum |
UWS crossover truck tool boxes are the tried-and-true way of keeping your tools organized, on-hand and fully secure no matter where you and your truck roam. Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. To add even more strength to the crossover truck tool box, the lid features our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases the structural integrity of the lid to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lid is able to open to a full 90 degrees, providing better access to tools, equipment and other stored items. It also features self-opening struts to make it easy to open the box when your hands are full. This particular truck tool box features a low profile, meaning the lid is built lower than our standard lid. This provides a better view out the rear cab window and additional clearance for other items in the truck bed, if needed. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, the lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. UWS crossover truck tool boxes make it easy to keep your tools and other items organized, featuring a three-compartment sliding tool tray. The tool box itself is easy to install and is available in multiple sizes to provide the perfect for your truck and lifestyle. Like all UWS products, each crossover truck tool box is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability (NOTE: This product is heavily packaged for parcel shipping).

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The kit includes one crossover truck tool box, one divider tray (not included with all models), two rail pads, two 3-inch J-hooks, two 1/4" washers, and two 1/4" nuts. A key is also provided for locking the tool box.
The tool box is designed to fit truck beds with rails. Before purchasing, verify that your truck has bed rails and measure your bed to ensure adequate space. The manual does not specify exact vehicle models or bed lengths, so contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific truck.
Yes. Before installation, place the tool box in the truck bed and check clearance with the lid open to ensure it does not interfere with the cab. During installation, re-measure to confirm the tool box is centered and allows adequate lid clearance when open. This prevents damage to the cab and ensures the lid operates freely.
The rail pads have an adhesive side. Attach the adhesive side of each rail pad to the underside of the tool box ends. Then place the tool box with the adhered rail pads on top of the truck bed rails.
Use the J-hooks to secure the tool box. Place a J-hook under the lip of the bed rail and insert the threaded end up through the slot. Use only one hole and J-hook assembly on each side. Attach with a 1/4" washer and 1/4" nut. Snug the hardware first but do not fully tighten until you have re-measured to ensure the tool box is centered and allows lid clearance. Then fully tighten all hardware.
Yes. Use a tape measure to ensure the tool box is centered in the truck bed. Measure before snugging the fasteners, and re-measure again after snugging but before fully tightening to confirm proper centering and lid clearance.
Tighten 1/4" bolts to 3 ft-lbs. according to the general torque specifications provided in the manual. However, if you purchase replacement hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware instead.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, including gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Doing so creates a danger of explosion.
Yes. The tool box can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product installed.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify the tool box's own capacity rating, so consult your vehicle's owner manual or contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 for guidance.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. These are listed as the required tools for installation.
The manual rates the installation difficulty as 'Easy' and does not require professional installation. However, consult your dealer if you have any questions regarding installation, operation, use and limits of the product.
Yes. Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, etc. Precaution must also be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Open the tool box lid and verify clearance between the open lid, top and back of the cab. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. Periodically lubricate the strikers and locks to ensure optimum performance. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
With the crossover tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Before every trip, ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue.
Yes. Tool boxes come with adjustable strikers. If the strikers are ever out of alignment, simply loosen, adjust and re-tighten them. Periodically lubricate the strikers and locks to ensure optimum performance.
The tool box fits truck beds with rails. Verify your truck has bed rails and adequate space. Contact the manufacturer at 877.287.8634 to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
