UWS crossover truck tool boxes are the tried-and-true way of keeping your tools organized, on-hand and fully secure no matter where you and your truck roam. Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. To add even more strength to the crossover truck tool box, the lid features our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases the structural integrity of the lid to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lid is able to open to a full 90 degr ees, providing better access to tools, equipment and other stored items. It also features self-opening struts to make it easy to open the box when your hands are full. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, the lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. UWS crossover truck tool boxes make it easy to keep your tools and other items organized, featuring built-in screwdriver holders and a three-compartment sliding tool tray. The tool box itself is easy to install and is available in multiple sizes to provide the perfect for your truck and lifestyle. Like all UWS products, each crossover truck tool box is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability (NOTE: This product is heavily packaged for parcel shipping). UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The UWS EC50007 69-Inch Heavy-Wall Aluminum Truck Tool Box, RigidCore Lid (Part #BHSGEC50007) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The kit includes one crossover truck tool box, one key, two rail pads, two 3-inch J-hooks, two 1/4" washers, and two 1/4" nuts. A divider tray is not included with all models. Refer to your specific product documentation to confirm whether a divider tray is included with your purchase.
The tool box is designed to fit truck beds with rails. The manual does not specify which vehicle models, bed lengths, or cab styles are compatible. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific truck before purchasing.
Yes, clearance between the open lid and the top and back of the cab is a required part of installation. In Step 1, you must open the tool box lid and ensure there is clearance before proceeding. If clearance is not adequate, the tool box may not be suitable for your vehicle. Verify this during the placement phase before fastening.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. A ratchet and socket set are required to tighten the J-hook fasteners (washer and nut). The tape measure is required to center the tool box in the truck bed and verify lid clearance.
The manual does not explicitly state whether drilling is required. The installation uses J-hooks that insert through existing bed rail slots and are secured with washers and nuts. If your truck bed does not have suitable slots for the J-hooks, drilling may be necessary. Before drilling into your truck bed, check underneath your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision. After drilling, treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes to prevent corrosion.
Use a tape measure to ensure the tool box is centered in the truck bed. This measurement should be taken in Step 1 after placing the tool box with the rail pads on top of the truck bed rails. Re-measure again in Step 2 after installing the J-hooks but before fully tightening the hardware to confirm the tool box remains centered and allows lid clearance when open.
The rail pads are protective pads that attach to the underside of the tool box ends. Attach the adhesive side of each rail pad to the underside of the tool box ends, then place the tool box with the rail pads adhered on top of the truck bed rails. The rail pads help protect the truck bed and tool box during installation and use.
Place a J-hook under the lip of the bed rail and insert the threaded end up through the slot. Use only one hole and J-hook assembly on each side of the vehicle. Attach with a washer and nut, and snug the hardware but do not fully tighten at this stage. Repeat on the other side. After re-measuring to ensure the tool box is centered and allows lid clearance when open, fully tighten all hardware.
The torque specification for 1/4" bolts is 3 ft-lbs. This is a general guideline. If you purchase replacement hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Apply torque after the tool box is centered and lid clearance is confirmed.
If the strikers are ever out of alignment, simply loosen, adjust and re-tighten them. Periodically lubricate the strikers and locks to ensure optimum performance.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the crossover tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. Periodically lubricate the strikers and locks to ensure optimum performance.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, such as containers of gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Danger of explosion exists if these materials are stored in the tool box.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify the tool box weight capacity. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 or consult your dealer for the weight capacity of your specific tool box model.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product installed.
No. Do not modify this product. Never modify this product. Use it only for purposes for which it was designed. If you have questions regarding the installation, operation, use and limits of this product, consult your dealer.
