UWS crossover truck tool boxes are the tried-and-true way of keeping your tools organized, on-hand and fully secure no matter where you and your truck roam. Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. This particular tool box features a gull wing top with two lockable, key-operated lids, providing convenient half-box access from either the driver side or passenger side of the truck. To give the lids reliable strength, they feature our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases structural integrity to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lids also feature self-opening struts to make it easy to open the tool box when your hands are full. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, each lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. UWS crossover truck tool boxes make it easy to keep your tools and other items organized, featuring built-in screwdriver holders and a three-compartment sliding tool tray. The tool box itself is easy to install and is available in multiple sizes to provide the perfect for your truck and lifestyle. Precaution must also be taken that fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or damage during a collision.
Place the tool box in the truck bed and use a tape measure to ensure it is centered. Open the lid and check for clearance between the open lid and the top and back of the cab. The tool box should be positioned so the lid opens freely without obstruction.
The rail pads are adhesive-backed pads that attach to the underside of the tool box ends. They are adhered first, then the tool box with the pads is placed on top of the truck bed rails to protect the rails and provide a stable base.
Place a J-hook under the lip of the bed rail and insert the threaded end up through the slot. Use only one hole and J-hook assembly on each side of the vehicle. Attach with a washer and nut, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten initially. After re-measuring to ensure the tool box is centered and lid clearance is correct, fully tighten all hardware.
