Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts)
Finish: MATTE BLACK POWDER COAT
Material: CARBON STEEL/ALUMINUM ASSEMBLY
Part Type: TRANSFER TANK
The hammerhead-style transfer tank is engineered to be the universal transfer tank for all full-size trucks. It features a unique narrowed base that fits between the wheel wells in the truck bed, even on short-bed pickup trucks (verify fitment using the product dimensions). This innovative transfer tank is ideal for safely and effectively transporting diesel and other non-flammable liquids. It is constructed with 14-gauge, pressure-tested steel and has a durable matte black powder coat finish. The hammerhead-style transfer tank is also equipped with a lockable, vented cap that allows for easy filling and provides extra security when your truck is left unattended. It comes with internal baffles to promote a smooth flow of liquids and to help prevent sloshing. For easier movement and installation, the tank comes with integrated mounting tabs and lifting hooks. Finally, to easily drain the tank whenever necessary, a drain plug is integrated into the base. This hammerhead-style transfer tank is a tool box transfer tank combo, featuring an integrated truck tool box for secure, convenient storage of your tools and equipment. The combo design is an innovative combination of a steel tank and an aluminum tool box, resulting in a lighter-weight solution compared to full-steel models. The truck tool box is constructed with extra-thick aluminum, a RigidCore foam-filled lid for maximum strength and stainless steel locking handles for dependable security. NOTE: Will not fit short-bed trucks with a gooseneck hitch installed (75-gallon transfer tank recommended).

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

You will need a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure and marker. Hardware such as hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts must be purchased separately.
Yes. Hardware is not included with the tank. You must purchase your own hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts to secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed. If any mounting holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will also be required.
The installation is rated as Easy difficulty. However, you must be comfortable drilling into your truck bed and checking underneath the vehicle for brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires and fuel tanks before drilling. If you are unsure about any step, consult your dealer.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, etc. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Step 1: Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side, ensuring it is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Use the mounting brackets as a guide to mark holes. Remove the tank and drill 3/8" holes in the marked locations. Step 2: Place the tank back in the bed, align the drilled holes with the mounting brackets, ensure the tank is level, then secure the mounting brackets with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten. Attach the filler neck and cap. Step 3: Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. These spacers are not included and must be purchased separately.
Drill 3/8" holes in the marked locations where the mounting brackets will attach to the truck bed floor.
No. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Doing so could result in serious injury or death.
Yes. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
