The kit includes: four 1/2-13 UNC 1-1/2" grade 8 carriage bolts (part 10-10334), ten 0.250 x 1.00 x 1.50" round hole spacers (CM-SP50), six 1/2" lock washers (part 30-00153), four 1/2-13 UNC grade 8 hex nuts (part 20-00171), and two M12 x 1.25 grade 10.9 carriage bolts (part 10-10275).
1. Raise the hitch and align the forward slot in the side plate with the frame weldnut; secure with a CM-SP50 spacer, lock washer, and M12 x 1.25 bolt. 2. Install 1/2-13 x 1-1/2 carriage bolts with spacers and lock washers into the rearmost slots; secure with spacers, lock washers, and hex nuts. 3. Using the hitch as a template, drill a 17/32" hole through the forwardmost holes in both side plates into the frame. 4. Install 1/2-13 x 1-1/2 carriage bolts with spacers and lock washers into the forwardmost holes; secure with spacers, lock washers, and hex nuts. 5. Torque all fasteners to specification.
Torque all M12 hardware to 86 ft-lbs. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs. This applies to both the M12 x 1.25 bolts and the 1/2-13 carriage bolts and hex nuts used throughout the installation.
Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The Curt 13184 is rated for specific gross load capacities in both weight-carrying and weight-distribution modes, but those values are not shown on this manual copy.
