Open the vehicle tailgate and remove the two bolts holding each taillight assembly in place. Remove both taillights carefully to avoid damaging the alignment tabs. Then locate the vehicle taillight wiring harness connectors behind the taillight housing and separate them from the taillight, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.
The custom wiring harness end with the yellow wire connects to the driver side taillight. Insert it between the separated connectors and ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
