Once the hitch is positioned, the pull wire is used to pull the fasteners back through the frame rails and hitch brackets before being removed and replaced with hex nuts.
The conical washer (7/16") is fed over the pull wire with the teeth side against the hitch. The washer is used to hold the bolt in place while the pull wire is removed and the hex nut is attached. The washer remains under the hex nut as part of the final fastener assembly.

Spray lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator to help with removal. Ensure all 3 bolts on both sides of the rubber isolator hanger bracket have been removed. If additional access is needed, remove the forward isolators as well. Do not force the exhaust down, as this may cause damage.
