Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes. You must lower the exhaust by removing 3 bolts from the rubber isolator hanger bracket on both sides and support the exhaust. For additional access, forward isolators may also be removed. The exhaust is reinstalled after hitch positioning.
Yes. You must enlarge the existing access hole on the bottom of the frame using a 1" step bit or die grinder to allow carriage bolt and spacer access to the frame rail on both sides. After installation, any bare metal created must be painted or primed.
All 7/16 GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M) using a torque wrench. Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
Hitch 24931 is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2000 lb. (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 200 lb. (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle.
The hitch receiver (part 24931) includes 4 carriage bolts (7/16-14 x 1.75 GR5), 4 spacers (.250 x 7/8 x 3), 4 conical washers (7/16"), 4 hex nuts (7/16-14 GR2), and 4 pull wires (7/16"). The drawbar kit (3592) and fastener kit (24931F) are sold separately.
No. The manual explicitly states: DO NOT cut, weld or modify this receiver. Doing so will void the warranty and compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
The manual lists applications as 2014-Current (or 2015-Actual in some language versions). For confirmation that your specific 2016 Q50 is covered, visit the manufacturer's website at www.cequentgroup.com, as trim level and configuration details may affect fitment.
Yes, if present. The passenger-side frame rail tie-down bracket must be removed to enlarge the access hole. It is reattached after hitch installation is complete.
The pull wire (7/16") is used to guide the carriage bolts and spacers through the frame rail access holes and into position. The coiled end is fed through the rearward hole and out the access hole. The spacer and carriage bolt are attached to the pull wire, then pushed into the frame rails. Once the hitch is positioned, the pull wire is used to pull the fasteners back through the frame rails and hitch brackets before being removed and replaced with hex nuts.
The conical washer (7/16") is fed over the pull wire with the teeth side against the hitch. The washer is used to hold the bolt in place while the pull wire is removed and the hex nut is attached. The washer remains under the hex nut as part of the final fastener assembly.
1. Remove passenger-side tie-down bracket if present. 2. Lower exhaust by removing 3 bolts from rubber isolator hangers on both sides and support it. 3. Enlarge access holes using 1" step bit or die grinder on both frame rails. 4. Feed pull wire through rearward hole and out access hole; attach spacer and carriage bolt to pull wire; push fasteners into frame rails. 5. Raise hitch into position, feeding pull wire through hitch holes, then pull fasteners back through frame rails and hitch brackets. 6. Feed conical washer over pull wire (teeth against hitch), remove pull wire, attach hex nut. 7. Tighten all 7/16 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M). 8. Raise exhaust back into position and reinstall bolts. 9. Paint or prime any bare metal. 10. Reattach tie-down bracket.
Using a 1" step bit or die grinder, enlarge the existing access hole on the bottom of the frame to allow carriage bolt and spacer access to the frame rail. This must be done on both sides of the vehicle. The exact final hole size is not specified in the manual.
No. The manual explicitly states: Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Use a 1" step bit or die grinder instead.
Yes. After enlarging the access holes, any bare metal created must be painted or touched up with primer to prevent rust and corrosion.
Yes. Spraying lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator helps with removal. The same lubricant or soapy water should be applied when reinstalling the exhaust.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. DO NOT apply your brakes and DO NOT speed up. Slow down gradually and safely.
The maximum tongue weight is 200 lb. (90.8 kg). Do not exceed this limit or the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle, including wearing eye protection.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but recommends periodic checks to ensure the hitch remains securely mounted to the vehicle.

Hitch 24931 is a weight-carrying hitch. It is not a weight-distributing hitch. Weight-distributing capability is marked as 'X' (not available) in the manual specifications.
Check that all 7/16 GR5 fasteners are tightened to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M) using a torque wrench. Use the torque wrench to verify each fastener is at the correct specification. If fasteners continue to loosen, remove the hitch and inspect the frame rails and fastener holes for damage. Ensure the conical washers are properly positioned with the teeth side against the hitch.
The access hole may not be enlarged enough. Using a 1" step bit or die grinder, further enlarge the access hole on the bottom of the frame to allow the carriage bolt and spacer to pass through. Ensure the hole is enlarged on both sides of the vehicle.
Spray lubricant or soapy water on the pull wire and the frame rail area to help it slide more easily. If the pull wire remains stuck, do not force it, as this may damage the wire or fasteners. Consult a professional installer for assistance.
Spray lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator to help with removal. Ensure all 3 bolts on both sides of the rubber isolator hanger bracket have been removed. If additional access is needed, remove the forward isolators as well. Do not force the exhaust down, as this may cause damage.
