Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes, part numbers 24968, 77968, and CQT24968 are designed for 2015-Current Subaru WRX models. However, the manual recommends visiting the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels, as fitment may vary.
This is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2000 lb (908 kg) and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lb (90.8 kg). However, you must not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
You will need: a ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10mm and 11/16"), a 6" socket extension, a flat head screwdriver, exhaust removal pliers, tin snips, and a universal joint socket. The manual notes that professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable performing the work yourself.
The manual does not specify that the battery must be disconnected for this installation.
No drilling is required. However, the heat shield must be trimmed using tin snips. Each heat shield is trimmed to 10" x 4" to expose the frame and attachment holes. The fasteners are fed through existing attachment holes in the frame using a pull wire.
Yes. The muffler must be lowered by removing four rubber hangers (two per side and one in the middle) to access the frame attachment points. The muffler is then raised back into position and the hangers are reattached after the hitch is installed. The manual recommends spraying lubricant on the rubber hangers to make them slide off more easily, and you must support the exhaust before removing the hangers.
The average installation time for professional installers is 60 minutes. If you do not feel comfortable performing the installation yourself or need assistance, the manual recommends contacting a professional installer.
All 7/16-14 fasteners must be tightened to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) using a torque wrench. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The fastener kit (part number 24968F) includes: four carriage bolts (7/16-14 x 1.50), four blocks (7/8" x 3" x 1/4", part no. HE-2370-000), four conical tooth washers (7/16", part no. 01292007), four hex nuts (7/16-14), and four pull wires (7/16, part no. 5481). The conical washer teeth must be oriented against the hitch.
Yes. Using a flat head screwdriver, you must remove seven push pins from each side (three at the bottom, two in the wheel well, and two on the exhaust side) to remove the appearance panels. These panels are reinstalled at the end of the installation.
The coiled end of pull wire (part no. 5481) is fed through the attachment holes and out of the forward-most access hole in the bottom of the frame. The carriage bolt and block are then attached to the pull wire and pulled into position on both sides. The pull wire is kept attached to the fasteners and routed through the attachment holes on the hitch to prevent the fasteners from being pushed back into the frame.
The installation sequence is: (1) remove appearance panels, (2) lower muffler, (3) remove and trim heat shields, (4) install fasteners in frame using pull wire, (5) reinstall heat shields, (6) raise hitch into position and loosely install hex nuts and bolts, (7) tighten all 7/16-14 fasteners to 50 lb-ft, (8) raise muffler and reattach rubber hangers, (9) reinstall appearance panels.
After installation, check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight during use.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the hitch's maximum capacity (2000 lb GTWR, 200 lb tongue weight). Always read and follow all warnings and instructions for your vehicle and other accessories used with the hitch before use.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
No. This is a weight-carrying hitch only. The manual specifies that weight-distributing use is not applicable (N/A) for this product.
No. The authorized drawbar kit (part number 3593) is sold separately. When used, the drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
Yes. The heat shield must be permanently trimmed using tin snips to expose the frame and attachment holes. This is a permanent modification to the vehicle. The appearance panels and muffler are removable and reattached during installation.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
Yes, part numbers 24968, 77968, and CQT24968 fit 2015-Current Subaru WRX models. Check the manufacturer's website for the most current fitment information for your specific trim level.
Maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 lb (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 200 lb (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
You need a ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 10mm and 11/16" sockets, 6" socket extension, flat head screwdriver, exhaust removal pliers, tin snips, and universal joint socket.
All 7/16-14 fasteners must be tightened to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) using a torque wrench.
Average installation time for professional installers is 60 minutes. Professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable performing the work yourself.
Ensure all 7/16-14 fasteners are tightened to the correct torque specification of 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) using a torque wrench. The manual emphasizes that proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing. Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight, as vibration during towing can loosen fasteners over time.
Spray lubricant on the rubber exhaust hangers to make them slide off more easily during the muffler lowering process. This will provide better access to the frame attachment holes. Ensure the pull wire is properly kinked to keep the spacer (block) independent of the bolt, and route the pull wire through the attachment holes to guide the fasteners into position.
Keep the pull wire attached to the fasteners and route it through the attachment holes on the hitch during installation. This will help prevent the fasteners from being pushed back into the frame when raising the hitch into position.
If the hitch has been removed or if holes are exposed in the trunk pan or other body panels, plug all holes to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. If the hitch is still installed and water or fumes are entering, inspect all fastener holes and panel seals for gaps or damage.
