Using a 17mm socket, remove the tow loops from both the driver and passenger side frame rails. Also remove the existing hole plugs from the frame rails. Return the fasteners and plugs to the vehicle owner.
Raise the hitch into position by aligning it with the existing weldnuts in the frame. Secure the hitch with 12mm bolts and 1/2-inch conical toothed washers into the existing weldnuts. If the tow loop is being reinstalled, the hitch will be clamped between the tow loop and frame rail.
All 12mm fasteners must be torqued to 86 ft-lbs.
