On the passenger's side, attach two connector sets from the T-one® Connector (one with green wires, one with brown and red wires) between the vehicle's taillight wiring harness connectors. On the driver's side, insert the T-one® Connector end with the yellow wire into the vehicle's taillight connector and lock it into place. All connector surfaces must be clean and free of dirt before connecting.
Drilling may be required for the ground wire connection. You must ground the white ground wire by placing its ring terminal under an existing screw attached to a clean metal surface, or by drilling a 3/32" hole and using one of the self-tapping screws provided. Drilling is optional if a suitable existing ground point is available.
The T-one® Connector uses a 15 amp fuse. This fuse is installed in the yellow fuse holder after the power wire is connected to the vehicle's positive battery terminal.
Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery cable first. Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder if not already removed. Cut the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal to the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable, and secure it. Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. wire using the yellow butt connector provided. The black wire is then routed to the T-one® Connector black box.
The black power wire is 12 ga. (12 gauge). Route it either through a grommet and along the exterior frame, or follow the existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery. Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire.
Place the ring terminal of the white ground wire under an existing screw attached to a clean metal surface, or drill a 3/32" hole and use one of the self-tapping screws provided to secure it to a clean metal surface on the vehicle.
