Yes. The bumper cover must be trimmed. Measure a 4.25" wide and 2.5" deep section in the center from the lowest edge, mark it, and use a utility knife to cut the lower fascia.
All M12 fasteners must be torqued to 60 ft-lbs.
Yes, the spare tire must be temporarily removed to access the hitch mounting area. Use a 21mm socket to lower the spare tire. After hitch installation, push the spare tire slightly forward to add clearance from the receiver.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times during installation. Be careful when cutting plastic or metal as injury may occur if done improperly. Support the exhaust before removing rubber hangers.
The kit includes 6 hex head cap screws (M12) and 6 conical-toothed washers (M12). These fasteners are used to secure the hitch to the vehicle frame.

Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. This helps prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
An exhaust removal tool (exhaust removal pliers) is required. Apply soapy water to help lower the exhaust pipe and remove the three exhaust hangers.
Use a utility knife to cut the lower fascia. Be careful when cutting plastic or metal as injury may occur if done improperly. Wear safety glasses during this step.
