The kit includes: 6 flat washers (1/2 inch, part 30-00133), 2 hex head cap screws M12×1.75 45 mm (part 10-10459), 4 hex nuts M12×1.75 (part 20-00136), and 6 lock washers (1/2 inch, part 30-00153). These fasteners attach the hitch to existing frame studs and weld nuts.
All fasteners must be torqued to 79 lb-ft. This applies to both the studs at the end of the frame and the forward attachment bolt.
Only if your Jeep Grand Cherokee has a sided fuel tank shield. In that case, remove the nuts and flat washers from the two studs at the end of the frame, and remove the bolt and washer assembly from the forward attachment. These parts will be replaced during installation with the fuel tank shield sandwiched between the frame and side bracket.
1. Raise the hitch into position over the two existing studs at the end of the frame and hand-tighten the lock washers and nuts only. 2. Install the hex head bolt, flat washer, and lock washer into the existing weld nut at the forward hole. 3. Torque all fasteners to 79 lb-ft.
