The Air Lift Air Lift 1000 Air Spring Kit 60865 (Part #BBCG60865) fits the following vehicles: 2021-2025 Ford F-150. Always verify your specific year, make, and model before ordering.
Yes, the Air Lift Air Lift 1000 Air Spring Kit 60865 (Part #BBCG60865) is designed to fit the 2021-2025 Ford F-150.
The Air Lift Air Lift 1000 Air Spring Kit 60865 (Part #BBCG60865) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The Air Lift 1000 is a load-leveling air suspension system that uses cylinder-style air bags installed into the vehicle's coil springs. Each air spring is rated at a maximum of 35 PSI (2.4BAR) and provides up to 1,000 pounds (454kg) of load-leveling support. The system helps maintain level ride height when carrying heavy loads.
The Air Lift MN-1177 (Kit 60865) is designed for the Ford F-150 Raptor. If you have a different F-150 model year, cab style, or variant, contact Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892 to confirm fitment before purchasing.
Required tools include: hoist or floor jack, 2 safety stands, safety glasses, torque wrench and metric sockets, metric wrenches, paint pen/marker/crayon, air compressor or compressed air source, and spray bottle with dish soap/water solution. The spray bottle is used for leak testing.
The kit includes: 2 air springs (46132), 2 lower protectors (09106), 2 upper protectors (09447), 15 feet of air line (20937), 6 zip ties (10466), 6 air line clamps (10638), 2 M8 flat washers (18501), 2 star washers (18411), 2 valve caps (21230), 4 5/16" hex nuts (21233), 2 5/16" flat rubber washers (21234), 1 tee fitting (21236), and 2 Schrader valves (21455).
Yes. The lower protectors and air springs must be inserted into the stock coil springs, which requires removing the coil springs from the vehicle. The vehicle must be lifted on a hoist or with a floor jack and supported by safety stands before beginning.
Before removing the coil springs, you must: remove the bolts holding the two height sensor arms (if equipped) attached to the upper control arm and let them hang; remove the rear brake line bracket bolt on top of the center differential; pull the brake lines out of both holders on the back side of the axle; and remove both lower shock bolts and pull the shocks away from the mount.
Remove the upper rubber spring mount from the coil spring. Insert the lower protector (part 09106) and air spring (part 46132) into the coil spring with the barbed fitting at the top of the air spring facing upward. Then snap the upper rubber spring mount back onto the coil spring, ensuring it indexes properly.
Set the assembly back into the lower spring mount, aligning the marks you made during preparation. Raise the axle or lower the frame just enough to hold the springs in position. Insert the lower protector (part 09106) into the lower spring seat, ensuring the large slot in the protector lines up with the large protrusion in the lower spring seat.
Cut the air line (part 20937) in half. Using pliers, install an air line clamp (part 10638) onto one end of the air line. Push the air line over the barbed stem on the air spring, ensuring it completely covers all the barbs. Then install the clamp over the barb stem by compressing the ears on the clamp with pliers and sliding it forward to fully cover the barbs.
Because of the long suspension travel of the F-150 Raptor, leave sufficient slack above the upper spring seat for the air line and attach the air line to the bed crossmember with a zip tie (part 10466). Route both air lines to the side or to the back above the frame. Maintain at least 6 inches (152mm) clearance from the exhaust system to prevent the air line from melting.
Single-path installation is recommended for vehicles with even weight distribution. Both air springs connect to a single tee fitting (part 21236) that feeds to one Schrader valve. Dual-path installation is used when weight varies from side to side and unequal pressures are needed to level the load. For dual-path, eliminate the tee fitting and route separate air lines from each air spring to individual Schrader valves.
Make clean, square cuts with a razor blade or hose cutter. Do not use scissors or wire cutters, as they will produce poor cuts that may not seal properly.
Select a location for the Schrader valve (part 21455) that will be protected and accessible with an air hose. Recommended locations include: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or the license plate or rear bumper area. Drill a 5/16" (8mm) hole if necessary.
Drill a 5/16" (8mm) hole in the selected location. Install the air line on the Schrader valve first. Mount the valve with the rubber washer (part 21234) serving as an outside weather seal, followed by the flat washer (part 21234), star washer (part 18411), and hex nut (part 21233). Install the valve cap (part 21230) after assembly.
Torque the shock nuts to 76 lb.-ft. (103Nm). The shock bolts should be left loose when initially reinstalled and tightened only after the axle is raised all the way up.
Torque the brake line bracket bolt to 18 lb.-ft. (25Nm) when reattaching it after installation.
Each air spring is rated at a maximum of 35 PSI (2.4BAR). Do not exceed this pressure. The actual air pressure needed depends on load and gross vehicle weight rating.
The minimum recommended air pressure is 5 PSI (0.34BAR). After successful completion of installation, inflate the air springs to this pressure before operating the vehicle.
Yes. You must drill a 5/16" (8mm) hole for the Schrader valve. The location depends on where you choose to mount the valve (fuel tank filler door, rear wheel well, or rear bumper area). No other drilling is required for the air spring installation itself.
Yes. Cut the 15-foot air line (part 20937) in half. Make clean, square cuts with a razor blade or hose cutter. Do not use scissors or wire cutters. The cut pieces are then used to connect the air springs to the tee fitting and Schrader valve.
The Air Lift 1000 provides up to 1,000 pounds (454kg) of load-leveling support. However, you must not exceed the maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload rating as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer, regardless of the air spring capacity.
Maintain at least 6 inches (152mm) clearance from the exhaust system to the air line to prevent the air line from melting. This applies to both air springs and air lines.
Perform the following checks in order: (1) Clearance test—inflate to 30 PSI (2BAR) and verify at least 1/2" (13mm) clearance from tires, brakes, frame, shock absorbers and brake cables. (2) Leak test—inflate to 30 PSI (2BAR) and check all connections for leaks using soapy water; all leaks must be eliminated before road testing. (3) Heat test—verify at least 6" (152mm) clearance from heat sources. (4) Fastener test—after 500 miles (800km), recheck all bolts for proper torque. (5) Road test—drive 10 miles (16km) and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners and air leaks.
Inflate the air springs to 30 PSI (2BAR) and use a spray bottle with a dish soap/water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core. Bubbles will form at any leak location. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested.
Check air pressure weekly. Always maintain normal ride height and never inflate beyond 35 PSI (2.4BAR).
Use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core to locate the leak. Once the leak is identified, deflate and remove the air spring as needed to repair or replace the affected component. Do not operate the vehicle with an active air leak.
After 500 miles (800km) of driving, recheck all bolts for proper torque. This includes the shock nuts (76 lb.-ft. / 103Nm) and brake line bracket bolt (18 lb.-ft. / 25Nm).
Yes, the MN-1177 (Kit 60865) is designed for the Ford F-150 Raptor. For other F-150 models or variants, contact Air Lift at (800) 248-0892.
You need a hoist or floor jack, 2 safety stands, safety glasses, torque wrench with metric sockets, metric wrenches, paint pen/marker, air compressor, and a spray bottle with dish soap/water solution for leak testing.
Maximum is 35 PSI (2.4BAR). Minimum recommended is 5 PSI (0.34BAR). Do not exceed the maximum, and do not exceed your vehicle's GVWR or payload rating.
Shock nuts: 76 lb.-ft. (103Nm). Brake line bracket bolt: 18 lb.-ft. (25Nm). After 500 miles, recheck all fasteners.
Maintain at least 6 inches (152mm) clearance from the exhaust system to the air line and air springs to prevent melting.
Perform clearance test at 30 PSI, leak test using soapy water, heat source clearance check (6" minimum), and road test after 10 miles. Recheck fastener torque after 500 miles.
Check weekly. Never exceed 35 PSI (2.4BAR). If a leak develops, use soapy water to locate it before deflating.
Bubbles indicate an air leak at that connection. Do not operate the vehicle. Deflate the air springs and inspect the connection. Ensure the air line completely covers all barbs on the fitting and that the air line clamp is fully compressed and slid forward to cover all barbs. Reconnect and retest. If the leak persists, the air line or fitting may be damaged and require replacement.
If clearance is less than 6 inches (152mm) from the exhaust system, reroute the air line to maintain the required clearance. The air line can melt if exposed to excessive heat. If a heat shield was included in the kit, install it. If no heat shield is included but one is required, contact Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892.
If clearance is less than 1/2" (13mm) during the clearance test at 30 PSI (2BAR), the component is too close to the air spring or air line. Reposition the air spring, air line, or routing to increase clearance. This may require rerouting the air line or adjusting the protector position. Do not operate the vehicle until adequate clearance is confirmed.
