The LoadLifter 5000 series kits (57352, 88352, 89352) are designed for Ford SD F-250/F-350 4WD SRW (Single Rear Wheel) applications. The kits are not compatible with dual rear wheel (DRW) vehicles. Confirm your truck is 4WD and has a single rear wheel configuration before purchasing.
The LoadLifter 5000 series air springs provide up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg) of load-leveling support. Air pressure is adjustable from 5 to 100 PSI (0.34 to 7 BAR). The air springs are manufactured with reinforced, commercial-grade single or double convolute bellows with layers of rubber and cords that control growth.
There are three versions: (1) Standard LoadLifter 5000 — zinc-plated steel roll plates and black nylon air lines (kit 57352); (2) LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate — black powder-coated roll plates and black nylon air lines (kit 88352); (3) LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus — stainless steel roll plates, braided stainless steel air lines, and stainless steel air spring mounting hardware (kit 89352). Identify your kit by examining the roll plates and air lines. Air Lift also offers two Ultimate Plus upgrade kits: 52300 (braided stainless steel air line and fittings) and 52301 (stainless steel roll plates, air spring mounting hardware, braided stainless steel air lines and fittings).
Required tools include: standard and metric open-end or box wrenches (set), ratchet, standard and metric sockets (set), 5/16" drill bit (very sharp), 9/16" crow's foot adapter, 9/16" ratchet combo wrench, heavy-duty drill, torque wrench, standard and metric hex-key wrenches (set), flat-tip screwdriver, hose cutter/razor blade/sharp knife, hoist or floor jacks, two safety stands, safety glasses, air compressor or compressed air source, and spray bottle with dish soap/water solution.

Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands or equivalent so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame. This is necessary to position the air spring assembly between the axle and frame.
Yes. Unbolt and remove the jounce bumper assembly from under the frame on both sides before proceeding with air spring installation.
Clip-in studs are factory fasteners in the frame. Yes, you must remove all four studs (two from each side) by prying on the hinged end with a screwdriver and pulling them out from the frame. These are replaced with universal nuts that will hold the upper frame brackets.
Torque the upper frame bracket hardware (M10-1.5 x 35mm button-head cap screws) to 38 lb.-ft. (52 Nm).
The slot on the side of the bracket should be inboard of the frame rail (away from the leaf spring and tire). The elongated hole should be toward the front of the truck.
Torque the 3/8"-24 x 7/8" hex-cap screw hardware to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm) when attaching the upper air spring bracket to the air spring.
When installing the upper air spring bracket onto each air spring, use one set of holes on the first assembly and the opposite holes on the second assembly. This creates left-hand and right-hand units. The driver's (left) side and passenger's (right) side assemblies are mirror images of each other.
Torque the 3/8"-24 x 3/4" flat-head socket-cap screws to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm) when attaching the lower bracket main plate to the air spring.
Insert the 3/8"-16 x 1" carriage bolt through the top of the lower bracket, flip the assembly over, and install the lower bracket cup onto the lower bracket main plate. Cap with a 3/8"-16 serrated flange lock nut. Snug the bolt down but leave it loose enough for the bracket to move freely in the slot.
The lower bracket cup should rest on the jounce bumper strike plate for single rear wheel (SRW) applications or on the axle for dual rear wheel (DRW) applications. Since this kit is for SRW only, it rests on the jounce bumper strike plate.
Torque the U-bolt hardware (3/8" serrated flange lock nuts) to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm). First snug the bolts evenly just enough to hold the lower bracket main plate flush against the stock U-bolts, then finish tightening by torqueing to the final specification.
Torque the 3/8" serrated flange lock nuts on the upper air spring bracket carriage bolts to 31 lb.-ft. (42 Nm). Snug the bolts down first, then torque to the final specification.
Evenly torque the lower clamp bar hardware (3/8" serrated flange lock nuts) to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm).
Torque the nut on both sides to 32 lb.-ft. (43 Nm).
Yes. On vehicles that have a sway bar, cut the front carriage bolt just below the nut so it does not contact the sway bar. For sway bar applications, it is acceptable to tighten the front carriage bolt hardware more than the rear to gain more clearance on the sway bar.
Ensure the 90-degree fittings each point inboard toward the center of the vehicle. This is checked before raising the axle or lowering the body to align the upper frame bracket carriage bolts with the air spring bracket holes.
Push the hard brake line away from the lower bracket carriage bolt if it is resting on it. If necessary, pull or push the hard brake line away and tie off the ABS line to gain clearance. On the passenger side, it may be necessary to pull the ABS tree mount out of the top of the bracket and re-attach it to the back of the bracket.
Recommended locations for Schrader valves are: (1) inside the fuel tank filler door, (2) inside rear wheel wells, or (3) license plate or rear bumper area. For LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus kits, the recommended location is the rear bumper area or license plate. Drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole if necessary at the chosen location.
Cut the nylon air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters. The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1 inch (25 mm).
Use zip ties to secure the nylon air line to fixed points along the chassis. Do not pinch or kink the air line. Leave at least 2 inches (51 mm) of slack in the air line to allow for any movement that might pull on the air line. The minimum bend radius is 1 inch (25 mm).
Use zip ties to secure the braided stainless steel air line to fixed points along the chassis every 6 to 8 inches (152 to 203 mm). Leave at least 2 inches (51 mm) of slack to allow for any movement that might pull on the air line. The braided stainless steel air line cannot be trimmed.
Tighten the air line hex nut finger-tight, then use 2 wrenches to turn 1 additional flat (1/6 of one full turn). Do not overtighten. The easiest way to tighten the fitting is off the vehicle before final installation.

Keep at least 6 inches (150 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. Avoid sharp bends and edges. If a heat shield was included in the kit, install it. If there is no heat shield but one is required, call Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892.
Slide the air line thermal sleeve over the nylon air line and place it where the air line is closest to the exhaust. Attach the metal heat shield to the exhaust where it is closest to the air spring, maintaining at least 1/2 inch (13 mm) of dead air space between the shield and exhaust. Use double hose clamps if necessary and bend the tabs as shown.
Yes. Keep the braided stainless steel air line away from the fuel line, brake lines, and electrical wires to prevent damage and ensure safe operation.
The maximum air pressure is 100 PSI (7 BAR). Never inflate beyond this pressure. Although the air springs are rated at a maximum inflation pressure of 100 PSI, the air pressure actually needed is dependent on load and gross vehicle weight rating.
The minimum recommended pressure is 5 PSI (0.34 BAR).
No. For safety and to prevent possible damage to the vehicle, do not exceed the maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload rating as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer. Although the air springs provide load-leveling support, they do not increase the vehicle's weight capacity.
Inflate the air springs to 40-60 PSI (2.8-4.1 BAR) and make sure there is at least 1/2 inch (13 mm) clearance from anything that might rub against each sleeve. Be sure to check the tire, brakes, frame, shock absorbers, and brake cables.
