The LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate is an adjustable air helper spring system that provides up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg) of load-leveling support. It uses reinforced, commercial-grade single or double convolute bellows with an internal jounce bumper. The air springs are adjustable from 5–100 PSI (0.34–7 BAR), allowing you to adjust support based on your load.

No. The kit includes an e-brake adapter (part J) that attaches to the right-side axle using the stock emergency brake line bracket bolt. The stock e-brake cable bracket is then attached to the adapter using a 5/16" cap screw, two flat washers, and one lock nut. This allows the emergency brake system to function normally.
Required tools include: 9/16" crow's foot adapter, standard open-end combo wrenches, ratchet, 5/16" drill bits (very sharp), metric and standard sockets, heavy-duty drill, torque wrench, #6 metric hex key wrench (socket if available), 7/32" hex key wrench (socket if available), hose cutter/razor blade/sharp knife, hoist or floor jacks, two safety stands, safety glasses, air compressor or compressed air source, and a spray bottle with dish soap/water solution.
Yes. A torque wrench is required because the installation involves multiple fasteners with specific torque values: 30 lb.-ft. for frame upper brackets, 20 lb.-ft. for air spring upper brackets and lower brackets, 16 lb.-ft. for upper mounting hardware, and 10 lb.-ft. for lower mounting hardware.
Yes. The installation requires raising the vehicle and supporting the frame with safety stands, then dropping the axle to make room for the air spring assemblies. A hoist or floor jacks are needed to raise and lower the vehicle and axle during installation.
Yes. You must unbolt and remove the left- and right-hand jounce bumpers (and spacers if equipped) from both frames above the axle. The frame upper brackets are then attached to the frame using the stock jounce bumper holes.
1. Set a roll plate over the top of each air spring with the radiused edge toward the air spring. 2. Install the swivel fitting into the top of the air spring finger-tight plus one-and-a-half turns. 3. Attach the air spring upper bracket to the air spring with two 3/8"-24 button head screws, torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. 4. Flip over both assemblies and set a roll plate over both ends. 5. Insert the long 3/8" carriage bolt into the lower bracket using the round hole closest to the edge. 6. Attach the lower brackets with flat head screws to the air spring assembly, torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft.
The radiused (rounded) edge of each roll plate must face toward the air spring so that the air spring is seated inside both roll plates. This applies to both the top and bottom roll plates.
Install the swivel fitting into the top of the air spring finger-tight plus one-and-a-half turns. Do not over-tighten.
Using the stock jounce bumper holes, attach the frame upper brackets (B1) to the frame using button head screws (M) on both sides. Torque the mounting hardware to 30 lb.-ft. (41 Nm).
1. With the axle suspended, set the left side assembly into position above the axle and insert one long 3/8" carriage bolt into the remaining hole in the lower bracket. Repeat for the right side. 2. Raise the axle back up so the slots in the upper brackets line up. Insert two short 3/8" carriage bolts through the slots in the upper air spring and frame brackets from the top down. 3. Insert the frame clamp onto the emergency brake cable and attach it to the front upper bracket bolt of the driver side only. Cap the carriage bolts with flat washers and nylon lock nuts. 4. Align the air spring so it is perpendicular to the upper and lower brackets. Torque the hardware to 16 lb.-ft. 5. Push the lower bracket against the axle/spring retainer. 6. Insert the lower clamp bar over the carriage bolts under the axle and cap with flat washers and nylon lock nuts. Torque all lower mounting hardware evenly to 10 lb.-ft.
It may be necessary to use a 9/16" crow's foot wrench on the forward carriage bolt because of sway bar interference under the carriage bolt.
You must choose the locations for the Schrader valves and drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole if necessary. The manual shows three suggested locations: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or the license plate or rear bumper area.
Cut the air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters.
Use zip ties to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis. Do not pinch or kink the air line. Leave at least 2" (51 mm) of slack in the air line to allow for any movement that might pull on the air line. The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1" (25 mm). Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system, and avoid sharp bends and edges.
Yes. You must drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole for the Schrader valve in one of three locations: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or the license plate or rear bumper area.
Frame upper brackets (B1): 30 lb.-ft. (41 Nm). Air spring upper brackets (B2): no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm). Lower brackets (C1 & C2): no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm). Upper mounting hardware (carriage bolts L): 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm). Lower mounting hardware (clamp bar A and carriage bolts N): 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm) evenly on both sides.
Torque the frame upper brackets (B1) to 30 lb.-ft. (41 Nm).
Torque the air spring upper brackets (B2) to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
Torque all lower mounting hardware (clamp bar and carriage bolts) evenly to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm).
The maximum air pressure is 100 PSI (7 BAR). However, the actual air pressure needed is dependent on load and gross vehicle weight rating. Never inflate beyond 100 PSI.
The minimum recommended pressure is 5 PSI (0.34 BAR).

Do not exceed the maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload rating as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer. The air springs provide up to 5,000 pounds of support, but you must stay within your vehicle's manufacturer specifications.
Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. If a heat shield is included in the kit, install it. Slide the air line thermal sleeve over the air line and place it where the air line is closest to the exhaust.

Heat test – Verify at least 6" clearance from heat sources; install heat shield if included. 4. Fastener test – Recheck all bolts for proper torque. 5. Road test – Drive 10 miles and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners, and air leaks.
Inflate the air springs to 40–60 PSI (2.8–4.1 BAR) and check all connections for leaks using a spray bottle with a dish soap/water solution. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested. If the system develops an air leak during use, use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring.
Inflate the air springs to 40–60 PSI (2.8–4.1 BAR) for both the clearance test and leak test.
Drive the vehicle 10 miles (16 km) and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners, and air leaks.
