The WirelessONE EZ Mount is a combined manifold and compressor unit designed for vehicle air suspension systems. The kit (25980EZ) includes the EZ Mount assembly (26562), a wireless controller (72709), wiring harness, 20 feet of 1/4" air line, fuse holder, fuses, mounting hardware (hex cap bolts, U-bolt, or self-tapping screws), tree mounts, zip ties, ring terminals, and heat shrink butt splices. Air spring kits, Schrader valves, elbow fittings, and associated hardware are sold separately.
Yes. Air spring kits, Schrader valves, elbow fittings, air springs, and associated hardware are not included and must be purchased separately. The manual does not specify other components that may be required.
The frame width must be 2.25 to 3.75 inches (57–95 mm), and the frame height must be 7.5 to 8.5 inches (191–216 mm). If your vehicle frame does not meet these dimensions, use hex cap bolts or self-tapping screws instead.
No. The EZ Mount must not be mounted with the electrical connector pointed down or with the Air Lift logo facing the ground. All other orientations are acceptable, provided the mounting surface is clear of vehicle components and the unit is not hung from a horizontal surface using self-tapping screws.
Required tools are: power drill, 1/4" and 3/8" drill bits, grinder, 3/8", 1/2", 5/16", and 9/16" sockets and ratchet, wire stripping and crimping tool, and sharp razor knife. The grinder is needed to remove paint or rust from the frame for the ground connection.
Three mounting options are provided: (1) two 3/8"-16 x 1.25" hex cap bolts (N) with four 3/8" flat washers (M) and two 3/8"-16 nylon locking nuts (L); (2) one U-bolt (K) with washers and nylon locking nuts; or (3) two 5/16"-18 x 0.75" self-tapping hex screws (O). Additionally, three tree mounts (P) and eighteen 8" zip ties (I) are included for securing the wiring harness.
Ideally, mount the EZ Mount in the middle of the vehicle to optimize wireless performance. If necessary, it can be mounted farther back, but must be mounted forward of the rear axle. The unit should be in an area shielded from direct splash, at least 6 inches away from heat sources such as the exhaust, and positioned to avoid interference with brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring.
Before drilling, ensure that the back side of the mounting surface is clear of vehicle components including brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring. Use the included drilling template printed at 100% scale to mark hole locations. Verify the template scale using the one-inch or 1 cm reference marks before drilling to avoid damaging the vehicle.
1. Choose a mounting method (hex cap bolts, U-bolt, or self-tapping screws) and verify the mounting surface is clear of vehicle components. 2. Use the drilling template to mark holes; use a 1/4" drill bit for pilot holes if using self-tapping screws. 3. Mount the EZ Mount and re-install the P-clamp if removed. 4. Attach the wiring harness to the top or bottom of the bracket using tree mounts and zip ties. 5. Attach the compressor ground wire to the frame using the small self-tapper (Q), grinding paint or rust for good contact. 6. Cut the terminal off the red compressor wire, route the wiring harness along the frame, and make all wiring and air line connections. 7. Connect the wiring to the battery and install the fuse last.
Attach the wiring harness to the top (preferred) or bottom of the EZ Mount bracket using the three included tree mounts (P) and eighteen 8" zip ties (I). The wiring harness should be routed outside of the compressor hose.
Attach the compressor ground wire to the vehicle frame using the small self-tapping screw (Q, #14-1/4 x 0.75"). The ground must have a good connection to the frame. It may be necessary to grind some paint or rust off the frame to ensure good contact.
The fuse (F, 15A ATC spade fuse) must be installed last, after all wiring and air line connections have been made. This prevents electrical damage during installation.
The pink wire in the wiring harness can be connected to any wire that is active when the ignition is on. This allows WirelessONE to make adjustments as soon as the ignition is turned on. Without this connection, the system will only activate when the vehicle moves or when woken up by the controller or mobile app. Hardware to connect to the ignition is not included. This is a low-amperage circuit that should be connected to the output side of a 10A or smaller fuse-protected circuit.
Cut off the terminal on the red compressor wire before connecting it to the wiring harness (D).
No. Do not extend the wires. Extending the wires could decrease compressor life by causing voltage drop beyond industry standards.
Use a sharp knife or a hose cutter and make clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters because these tools will deform the air line. Do not cut the lines at an angle. Inspect the air line for scratches that run lengthwise after cutting; contact Air Lift customer service if the air line is damaged.
The minimum bend radius for 1/4" air line is 1 inch (25 mm). Air lines must be installed straight into fittings.
Hex cap bolts (N) should be torqued to 21–25 lb.-ft. (30–34 Nm).
The U-bolt (K) should be torqued to 4–6 lb.-ft. (5.4–8.1 Nm).
No torque specification is provided for self-tapping screws because there are too many variables. Follow the manufacturer's general guidance for self-tapping fasteners.
Route air lines and wiring along the frame, avoiding sharp edges. If passing air lines or wiring through holes in the frame, use rubber grommets. Support wiring and air lines every 8–12 inches (200–300 mm) with zip ties or other means. Keep wiring, air lines, and the EZ Mount at least 6 inches away from heat sources such as the exhaust. Route the wiring harness outside of the compressor hose.
Remove all fuses before jump-starting or welding on the vehicle. Failure to do so could damage the manifold.
The EZ Mount should not be located in areas exposed to direct splash or excessive moisture, as this can damage the compressor and cause system failure. It should be mounted in an area shielded from direct splash.
