ARIES 3" side bars add a custom look and dependable footing to your truck, Jeep or SUV. They feature a classic style, a strong design and non-skid step pads. ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" r ound side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes two 3" round side bars (driver and passenger), four mounting brackets (two front, two rear), and all fastening hardware: four M6 x 50mm hex bolts with M6 x 20mm lock nuts, four M12 x 35mm hex bolts, four 12mm x 60mm hex bolts, eight 10mm flat washers, eight 10mm lock washers, eight 10mm hex nuts, four 10mm double bolt plates, four 12mm lock washers, four 12mm flat washers, and four M12 hex nuts.
Yes. You must remove the plastic covers from the inner rocker panel on both the driver and passenger sides before installation. The mounting brackets attach to factory slotted holes in the rocker panel using double bolt plates.
1. Remove plastic covers from the inner rocker panel. 2. Insert a double bolt plate into the factory slotted hole. 3. Position and attach the front mounting bracket using two 10mm hex nuts, two 10mm lock washers, and two 10mm flat washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 4. Repeat for the rear mounting bracket. 5. Position the side bar onto both brackets and attach using two 12mm x 60mm hex bolts, two 12mm lock washers, and two 12mm flat washers; snug but do not fully tighten. 6. Adjust the side bar to be level and centered, then tighten all bolts. 7. Repeat the entire process for the passenger side.
Snugging bolts before final tightening allows you to position and adjust the side bar so that it is level and centered on the vehicle. Once the bar is properly aligned, all bolts are then fully tightened to secure the installation.

The manual states that proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required, but does not specify which tools are needed.
