The ARIES TrailChaser Jeep bumper is unlike any other bumper for the Jeep Wrangler JL or Jeep Gladiator because it features a modular design. Each piece can be attached or swapped out as desired, giving you complete freedom of customization and a look that best characterizes your Jeep Wrangler. All TrailChaser bumpers are also compatible with a variety of accessories, including LED lights, D-rings, tow hooks and a winch. This particular piece includes the front-end center section only and is intended to accept corners and brush guards (sold separately). It is constructed from T6 aluminum alloy to be strong, lightweight and rust-free, and has a unique, textured black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion resistance. It is also available in high-strength, powder-coated steel. This bumper center section features a standard 22-1/2" x 7-3/4" winch housing and is compatible with the ARIES winch adapter #2072100 for larger winches. It provides cutouts for lights and has pre-drilled holes for D-rings #2081300 and tow hooks #15600TW (lights and accessories not included). All ARIES TrailChaser bumpers install using pre-existing factory mounting points for fast, easy installation with no drilling required.

The kit includes one TrailChaser™ center section, eight M12 hex bolts, eight M12 flat washers, eight M12 lock washers, and eight M12 nuts. These fasteners are used to secure the center section to the vehicle's factory mounting locations.
Use mild automotive detergent and water to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products, as these may damage the finish. Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
This is the first of two manuals required to complete the installation. A second manual is included with your bumper corners. If installing a brush guard, a third manual will be required. You must install the bumper corners before mounting the center section to the vehicle.
Required tools are: ratchet, Phillips screwdriver, socket extension, flathead screwdriver, socket set, Allen wrench set, level, and box wrench set. A level is specifically needed to align the bumper to the desired position before final tightening.

The first step is to remove the front fascia by removing eight plastic push fasteners from the upper edge of the lower front fascia, then using a socket to remove two 5mm screws securing the lower edge of the plastic fascia.
Yes. Before removing the factory bumper, you must disconnect the fog light wiring harness from behind the factory bumper on the passenger side (Step 2). The factory fog lights will be removed from the bumper in Step 5 and reused in the new bumper.
The factory bumper is secured by four nuts on the driver side and four nuts on the passenger side, for a total of eight mounting points. These are removed in Step 3 before lifting the bumper from the frame.
On each side: (1) remove the plastic cover over the factory fog light, (2) remove the fog light and plastic housing from the factory bumper, (3) disconnect the wiring harness from the fog light, (4) remove the factory fog light from the plastic housing. Repeat on both driver and passenger sides.
Remove the retainer clips from the eight bumper mounting studs, then remove the four bolts securing the beam to the bumper. Lift the beam from the bumper to expose the fog light harness. Remove the plastic push fasteners securing the wire harness to the bumper. The harness will be reused on the new bumper.
Install the factory fog lights into the new bumper, ensuring that the plastic push fasteners on the factory fog light are fully engaged into the mounting holes on the bumper.
Eight M12 bolts, M12 flat washers, M12 lock washers, and M12 hex nuts are used at all eight mounting locations. These are snugged in Step 8 but not fully tightened until after the bumper is leveled and adjusted in Step 10.
No. In Step 8, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. After leveling and adjusting the bumper to the desired position in Step 10, then tighten all hardware to the recommended torque specifications.
In Step 9, connect the fog light harness to the fog lights in the bumper. Then, from behind the bumper on the passenger side, reconnect the fog light wiring harness.
M12 bolts should be torqued to 58 ft-lbs. This specification applies to all eight mounting bolts securing the center section to the vehicle.
M6 bolts: 7 ft-lbs; M8 bolts: 16 ft-lbs; M10 bolts: 33 ft-lbs. Use these specifications unless otherwise noted in the installation instructions.
