The ARIES TrailChaser Jeep bumper is unlike any other bumper for the Jeep Wrangler JK because it features a modular design. With a variety of options to choose from, you can select the perfect configuration to match the style of your Jeep Wrangler. All TrailChaser bumpers are also compatible with a variety of accessories, including LED lights, D-rings, tow hooks and a winch. This particular TrailChaser bumper comes with a center section and corner end caps with flush-mount LED lights. It is constructed from T6 aluminum alloy to be strong, lightweight and rust-free, and has a unique, textured black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion resistance. It is also available in high-strength, powder-coated steel. The bumper center section features a standard 22-1/2" x 7-3/4" winch housing and is compatible with the ARIES winch adapter #2072100 for larger winches. It provides cutouts for lights and has pre-drilled holes for D-rings #2081300 and tow hooks #15600TW. The bumper corners offer a professional finishing touch with their integrated, flush-mount LED lights. The 2" square work lights put out 2,200 lumens each and feature a flood beam pattern. They are made with grade-A LED chips, rust-free aluminum construction, an IP68-standard breather and dual heat sinks. They are also thoroughly tested and come with a waterproof wiring harness for easy installation. All ARIES TrailChaser bumpers install using pre-existing factory mounting points for fast, easy installation with no drilling required.

ARIES offers 20 TrailChaser™ front bumper kits in aluminum and steel versions. Kits vary by: center section (2081001 aluminum or 2081000 steel), side extension style (side extension or corner), side guard style (angular or round), and whether LED lights and guards are included. All kits are finished with textured black powder coat. Refer to the configuration tables on pages 2–3 for specific kit numbers and their included components.
No. LED lights are included only with specific kits. Kits with corner side extensions (2081205 aluminum or 2081200 steel) include LED lights. Kits with side extension style (2081201 aluminum or 2081204 steel) do not include LED lights. Kits with corner style 2081207 aluminum or 2081206 steel are not compatible with LED lights. Check your kit number on pages 2–3 to confirm LED compatibility.
Two brush guard styles are available: angular (part 2081101 aluminum or 2081100 steel) and round (part 2081254/2081250 aluminum/steel for center and sides, or 2081255/2081252 aluminum/steel for center only). Some kits include guards, some offer center-only guards, and some kits with corner side extensions (2081207 aluminum or 2081206 steel) are not compatible with any guards. Check your kit number on pages 2–3 to confirm what guards are included or compatible.

Factory bumper removal involves six steps: (1) Remove four plastic push pins holding the air dam and pry off fasteners holding brackets to the frame; (2) Disconnect fog light wiring harness and unclip from bumper cover; (3) Remove two fasteners holding frame cover on top of bumper with Phillips screwdriver; (4) Slide cover left to expose driver side bolts, remove four nuts with 18mm socket, repeat on passenger side; (5) Carefully lift bumper from frame and set on flat work surface; (6) Remove stock fog lights for reuse in new bumper.
No. Vacuum pump relocation is required only for 2012 models and later. For these vehicles, the vacuum pump on the driver side must be moved to accommodate the new bumper. The rear bolt is loosened and the front bolt is fully removed, then the pump is swung toward the rear of the vehicle and the rear bolt is snugged (not fully tightened).
The front post bracket is the factory bracket that originally held the front post in place on the bumper mount. It must be removed to allow clearance for the winch receiver plate. It is removed using a cut-off tool during bumper installation (Step 2 of section 4).
1. Set the new center section on a flat work surface. 2. Lift the bumper side into place and insert a 10mm hex bolt with locking and flat washer. 3. Secure the bolt with a second flat washer and hex nut. 4. Repeat for all three attachment points on the first side, snugging hardware but not tightening. 5. Repeat steps 1–4 on the opposite side. 6. With both extensions loosely installed, check that bumper corners match up and adjust if necessary. 7. Fully tighten all hardware with a 16mm socket and wrench.

Secure four LED light attachment points with M6 socket cap screw, flat washer, and nylock nut at each point. 4. Tighten all hardware and repeat for second side extension and light. 5. Set center section on flat work surface. 6. Lift side extension into place and insert M10 hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer. 7. Secure bolt with second flat washer and hex nut. 8. Repeat for all three attachment points, snugging hardware but not fully tightening. 9. Repeat on opposite side. 10. With both extensions loosely installed, check bumper corners match up, adjust if necessary, and fully tighten all hardware with 16mm socket and wrench.
1. Place cover plate on top of brush guard. 2. Insert M6 button head cap screw with flat washer and secure with nylock nut. 3. Repeat for all six attachment points. 4. Adjust if necessary and fully tighten all hardware with Allen wrench. 5. Place center section on flat work surface. 6. Lift brush guard into place and insert M10 hex bolt with locking and flat washer. 7. Secure bolt with second flat washer and hex nut. 8. Repeat for all four attachment points. 9. Adjust if necessary and fully tighten all hardware with 16mm socket and wrench.
1. If installing side brush guards, attach the two side guards with provided M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Align and fully tighten hardware with 16mm socket. 2. Finalize installation by attaching center brush guard with two M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. 3. Ensure guard(s) are aligned properly and fully tighten hardware with 16mm socket. If attaching center guard only, skip to step 2.
1. For 2012 models and later, loosen rear bolt and fully remove front bolt of vacuum pump with 10mm socket, swing pump toward rear, and snug rear bolt. 2. Remove front post bracket using cut-off tool. 3. Insert fog lights into new bumper with three attachment points each; secure with M4 socket cap screw, flat washer, flat washer, and nylock nut; tighten with 7mm socket and Allen wrench. 4. With help, lift bumper into place over pre-mounted 12mm bolts in factory bumper mount locations. 5. Insert M12 hex bolt with flat washer behind bumper bracket and secure with flat and lock washer and hex nut; snug all hardware but do not fully tighten. 6. Reattach fog lights and wire harness to bumper. 7. Place vacuum pump threaded bolt through tab on bumper and attach with M6 nylock nut. 8. Check bumper is level, adjust if necessary, and fully tighten all hardware.
The number of mounting points varies by year. The manual states 'Depending on the year of the Jeep, there may be as few as two mounting points to attach to.' The example shown has three per side. The manual does not indicate that drilling is required. However, a cut-off tool is required to remove the front post bracket from the factory bumper mount location. This is a permanent modification to the factory bracket.

A 16mm socket and wrench are required to fully tighten all hardware on side extensions and brush guards.
An 18mm socket is required to remove the four nuts holding the bolts onto the bumper frame on each side during factory bumper removal.
A 10mm socket is required to loosen the rear bolt and fully remove the front bolt of the vacuum pump during relocation for 2012 models and later.
A 7mm socket is required to tighten the M4 socket cap screws securing the fog lights into the new bumper. The provided 3mm Allen wrench is also used.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. To protect the product, wax after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or other similar products that may damage the finish.
Do not use: any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes. These products may damage the textured black powder coat finish. Use only mild automotive detergent for cleaning and non-abrasive wax or polish for protection and finish restoration.
Use a level to check that the bumper is level. Adjust if necessary before fully tightening all hardware. The manual also instructs to check that bumper corners match up when side extensions are loosely installed, adjusting if necessary before final tightening.
