With a variety of options to choose from, you can select the perfect configuration to match the style of your Jeep Wrangler. All TrailChaser bumpers are also compatible with a variety of accessories, including LED lights, D-rings, tow hooks and a winch. This particular TrailChaser bumper comes with a center section, round center brush guard and corner end caps with flush-mount LED lights. It is constructed from T6 aluminum alloy to be strong, lightweight and rust-free, and has a unique, textured black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion resistance. It is also available in high-strength, powder-coated steel. The bumper center section features a standard 22-1/2" x 7-3/4" winch housing and is compatible with the ARIES winch adapter #2072100 for larger winches. It provides cutouts for lights and has pre-drilled holes for D-rings #2081300 and tow hooks #15600TW. The bumper corners offer a professional finishing touch with their integrated, flush-mount LED lights. The 2" square work lights put out 2,200 lumens each and feature a flood beam pattern. They are made with grade-A LED chips, rust-free aluminum construction, an IP68-standard breather and dual heat sinks. They are also thoroughly tested and come with a waterproof wiring harness for easy installation. The round tubular brush guard of this bumper not only adds extra style to your Jeep JK, but it also provides additional light mounting points with two welded tabs along the top. All ARIES TrailChaser bumpers install using pre-existing factory mounting points for fast, easy installation with no drilling required.

The manual shows installation on Jeep vehicles, with specific procedures for 2012 models and later that include vacuum pump relocation. The manual does not specify which Jeep models or years are compatible beyond this reference. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for a complete vehicle compatibility list.
The center section includes: 1 TrailChaser center section, 6 button head bolts M4, 6 nylock nuts M4, 4 flat washers M4, 2 hex bolts M6 x 20mm, 2 flat washers M6, 3 nylock nuts M6, 8 hex bolts M12 x 40mm, 16 flat washers M12 x 24mm, 8 lock washers M12, 8 nuts M12, and 1 Allen wrench 3mm. Additional hardware is supplied depending on the configuration purchased (side extensions, brush guards, and LED lights).
No. LED lights are not included with most kits. According to the configuration table, only kit 2082046 (aluminum) and 2082043 (steel) include LED lights. Other kits list LED lights as 'Not included' or 'Not compatible'. If your kit includes LED work lights (#1501250), they are installed with the side extensions using M6 socket cap screws, flat washers, and nylock nuts.
Two styles are available: Angular brush guards (part numbers 2081101 aluminum, 2081100 steel) and Round brush guards (part numbers 2081254 aluminum, 2081250 steel for center and sides; 2081255 aluminum, 2081252 steel for center only). Some kits include guards, some do not, and some configurations list guards as 'Not compatible'. Check your kit number on pages 2–3 to confirm which guard style is included or compatible with your purchase.
Required tools are: ratchet, socket set, socket extension, box wrench set, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, Allen wrench set, cut-off tool, and level. An 18mm socket is needed for factory bumper removal, 16mm socket and wrench for side extension and brush guard tightening, 10mm socket for vacuum pump relocation, and 7mm socket for fog light installation.
Yes. The factory bumper must be completely removed before installing the TrailChaser bumper. This involves removing four plastic push pins holding the air dam, disconnecting fog light wiring, removing the frame cover, removing eight nuts (four per side) with an 18mm socket, and carefully lifting the bumper from the frame. The stock fog lights are removed and reused in the new bumper.
No. The vacuum pump relocation is required only for 2012 models and later. For these vehicles, the vacuum pump on the driver side must be moved to accommodate the new bumper. The rear bolt is loosened and the front bolt is fully removed, then the pump is swung toward the rear of the vehicle and the rear bolt is snugged but not fully tightened.
Yes. For 2012 models and later, the front post bracket must be removed using a cut-off tool to allow clearance for the winch receiver plate. This is a permanent modification to the factory bracket.
Torque specifications are: M6 bolt = 7 ft-lbs, M8 bolt = 16 ft-lbs, M10 bolt = 33 ft-lbs, M12 bolt = 58 ft-lbs. Use these settings unless otherwise noted in the installation steps. Always use the specified socket sizes and wrenches to avoid damaging fasteners.
Do not fully tighten hardware until the final steps. When installing side extensions, snug the hardware but do not tighten. When installing the bumper, snug all M12 mounting bolts but do not fully tighten. Only after checking that the bumper is level and all components are properly aligned should you fully tighten all hardware. This allows for adjustment if necessary.
Remove the stock fog lights from the factory bumper before installation. Insert each light into the new bumper at its three attachment points. Secure each point with an M4 socket cap screw, flat washer, and nylock nut. Tighten with a 7mm socket and the provided 3mm Allen wrench. After the bumper is mounted, reattach the fog light wiring harness.
The manual states 'with help' when lifting the bumper into place over the pre-mounted bolts, indicating that at least two people are recommended for safe installation.
Install side extensions first (either with or without LEDs depending on your kit), then install the brush guard. For side extensions, loosely install both sides, check that bumper corners match up, adjust if necessary, and fully tighten. For brush guards, install the angular guard or round guard(s) after the side extensions are complete. The center bumper should be on a flat work surface during these steps.
If your kit includes LED work lights (#1501250), insert the rubber gasket and LED light into the side extension. Secure the four LED light attachment points with an M6 socket cap screw, flat washer, and nylock nut at each point. Tighten all hardware before attaching the side extension to the center section. Repeat for the other side extension.
Place the cover plate on top of the angular brush guard. Insert an M6 button head cap screw with flat washer and secure with a nylock nut at all six attachment points. Tighten with an Allen wrench. Then lift the brush guard into place on the center section and insert M10 hex bolts with locking and flat washers at all four attachment points. Secure with flat washers and hex nuts. Tighten all hardware with a 16mm socket and wrench.
If installing side brush guards, attach the two side guards first with M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers, and tighten with a 16mm socket. Then attach the center brush guard with two M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Ensure all guards are properly aligned and fully tighten with a 16mm socket. If installing center guard only, skip the side guards and proceed directly to the center guard.
After the bumper is mounted, take the vacuum pump and place its threaded bolt through the tab on the bumper. Attach it with an M6 nylock nut. This applies only to 2012 models and later that required vacuum pump relocation.
Use a level to check that the bumper is level. Adjust if necessary before fully tightening all hardware. After installation, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
Wax the bumper after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives, as these can damage the finish. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, non-abrasive polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Clean with mild automotive detergent only. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular checks are recommended to maintain the integrity of the installation.
The manual confirms installation on Jeep vehicles, with specific procedures for 2012 models and later. For a complete compatibility list including your specific year and model, contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634.
