With a variety of options to choose from, you can select the perfect configuration to match the style of your Jeep Wrangler. All TrailChaser bumpers are also compatible with a variety of accessories, including LED lights, D-rings, tow hooks and a winch. This particular TrailChaser bumper comes with a center section and corner end caps. It is constructed from T6 aluminum alloy to be strong, lightweight and rust-free, and has a unique, textured black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion resistance. It is also available in high-strength, powder-coated steel. The bumper center section features a standard 22-1/2" x 7-3/4" winch housing and is compatible with the ARIES winch adapter #2072100 for larger winches. It provides cutouts for lights and has pre-drilled holes for D-rings #2081300 and tow hooks #15600TW. The bumper corners offer a professional finishing touch with their compact, angular design. They feature the same durable powder coat as the center section and can be drilled or cut to mount additional lights. The manual confirms the kit is designed for Jeep 2012 models and later, as it references vacuum pump relocation required for these years. However, the manual does not specify which Jeep platform(s) (Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, etc.) are compatible. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for complete fitment details before purchasing.
The TrailChaser™ bumper is available in both aluminum and steel versions. Each kit number has an aluminum variant (ending in odd numbers like 2082020, 2082023) and a steel variant (ending in even numbers like 2082030, 2082032). All versions are finished with a textured black powder coat.
No. LED work lights are included only with certain kit configurations. Kits 2082020, 2082030, 2082046, 2082058, 2082043, and 2082056 include LED lights. Other kits do not include them. Check the configuration table on pages 2–3 to confirm whether your kit includes LED lights.
Two brush guard styles are available: Angular and Round. Angular guards are included with kits 2082047, 2082042, 2082043, 2082055, 2082051, 2082052, 2082040, 2082057, and 2082048. Round guards are included with kits 2082020, 2082030, 2082059, 2082054, 2082044, 2082056, 2082050, and 2082058. Some kits include guards for center and sides; others include center only. Refer to the configuration tables on pages 2–3 for your specific kit.
No. Corner-style side extensions (part numbers 2081205, 2081207, 2081200, 2081206) are not compatible with Round brush guards. Kits with corner extensions and Round guards are marked 'Not compatible' in the configuration table. Angular brush guards are compatible with all side extension styles. Verify your kit configuration on pages 2–3 before purchase.
Required tools include: ratchet, socket set, socket extension, box wrench set, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, Allen wrench set, cut-off tool, and a level. An 18mm socket is needed for factory bumper removal, 16mm socket and wrench for side extension and brush guard tightening, 10mm socket for vacuum pump relocation, and 7mm socket for fog light installation. A 3mm Allen wrench is provided with the center section.
Yes. Factory bumper removal is the first step of installation. You must remove four plastic push pins holding the air dam, disconnect fog light wiring, remove frame cover fasteners, remove four nuts holding the bumper frame bolts (using an 18mm socket), and carefully lift the bumper from the frame. The stock fog lights are removed and reused in the new bumper.
No. Vacuum pump relocation is required only for 2012 models and later. For these years, you must loosen the rear bolt and fully remove the front bolt of the vacuum pump on the driver side, swing it toward the rear of the vehicle, and snug the rear bolt without fully tightening. The front post bracket must then be removed using a cut-off tool to allow clearance for the winch receiver plate.
The manual states 'With help, lift the bumper into place,' indicating that at least two people are recommended for the bumper installation step. A flat work surface is also required for assembly of components before final installation.
Yes. For 2012 models and later, the front post bracket must be removed using a cut-off tool to allow clearance for the winch receiver plate. This is a permanent modification to the factory bracket. No other cutting or trimming is mentioned in the installation instructions.
M6 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. This specification applies to M6 socket cap screws used for LED light attachment and M6 nylock nuts used for vacuum pump attachment.
M10 bolts should be torqued to 33 ft-lbs. M10 hex bolts are used for side extension attachment (M10 x 35mm) and brush guard attachment (M10 x 25mm or M10 x 35mm).
M12 bolts should be torqued to 58 ft-lbs. M12 hex bolts (M12 x 40mm) are used for mounting the bumper to the factory bumper mount locations.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs. However, the manual does not list any M8 bolts in the parts lists or installation steps, so this specification may apply to optional or configuration-specific components not detailed in this manual.
No. During assembly of side extensions and brush guards, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. Once the bumper is installed and aligned, fully tighten all hardware. For side extensions, use a 16mm socket and wrench to fully tighten after alignment. For brush guards, also use a 16mm socket. This allows for adjustment before final tightening.
Insert the stock fog lights into the new bumper. Each light has three attachment points. At each point, insert an M4 socket cap screw with a flat washer and secure with a flat washer and nylock nut. Tighten with a 7mm socket and the provided 3mm Allen wrench. Repeat for the other light. After bumper installation, reattach the fog light wiring harness.
Install side extensions first (Section 2A or 2B depending on LED configuration), then install brush guards (Section 3A or 3B depending on style). For side extensions, snug hardware at three attachment points but do not fully tighten, then check corner alignment and adjust if necessary before fully tightening with a 16mm socket and wrench. For brush guards, attach side guards first (if applicable), then the center guard, ensuring proper alignment before fully tightening.
LED work lights are installed only on side extensions with LED-compatible kits (2081205 aluminum or 2081200 steel). Before attaching the side extension to the center section, place the side extension on a flat work surface, insert the rubber gasket and LED light into place, and secure the four LED light attachment points with an M6 socket cap screw, flat washer, and nylock nut at each point. Tighten all hardware before attaching the side extension to the center section.
Place the cover plate on top of the angular brush guard. Insert an M6 button head cap screw with flat washer at each of the six attachment points and secure with a nylock nut. Tighten all hardware with an Allen wrench. Then place the center section on a flat work surface, lift the brush guard into place, and insert an M10 hex bolt with locking and flat washer at each of the four attachment points. Secure with a second flat washer and hex nut. Adjust if necessary and fully tighten all hardware with a 16mm socket and wrench.
If installing side brush guards, attach the two side guards first with M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers, then align and fully tighten with a 16mm socket. Finalize the installation by attaching the center brush guard with two M10 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Ensure the guard(s) are aligned properly and fully tighten with a 16mm socket. If installing center guard only, skip the side guard step.
After moving the vacuum pump toward the rear of the vehicle and snugging the rear bolt, place the threaded bolt through the tab on the bumper and attach with an M6 nylock nut. Do not fully tighten the rear bolt until the bumper is fully installed and leveled.
After installation, check that the bumper is level using a level tool. Adjust if necessary and fully tighten all hardware. Periodic inspections should be performed after installation to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual recommends checking the bumper periodically to maintain proper fitment and safety.
Wax the bumper after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Use only non-abrasive wax and mild automotive detergent for cleaning. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but recommends checking the bumper regularly after installation to maintain proper fitment and safety.
The kit is designed for Jeep 2012 models and later. Specific model compatibility is not detailed in the manual. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 to confirm fitment for your vehicle.

Wax after installation and regularly thereafter. Use only non-abrasive wax and mild automotive detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners, wire brushes, or abrasive pads. Polish may be used on smooth finishes to clear small scratches.
After installing both side extensions with snugged (not fully tightened) hardware, check that the bumper corners match up. If they do not align, adjust the extensions as necessary before fully tightening all hardware with a 16mm socket and wrench. This alignment step is critical and must be completed before final tightening.
Use a level tool to check bumper alignment. If the bumper is not level, adjust the mounting hardware before fully tightening. Once adjusted to level, fully tighten all hardware. Periodic inspections should be performed after installation to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
