ARIES 3" side bars add a custom look and dependable footing to your truck, Jeep or SUV. They feature a classic style, a strong design and non-skid step pads. ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Nissan Equator and Frontier (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes: 1 driver/left side bar, 1 passenger/right side bar, 3 driver/left side mounting brackets, 3 passenger/right side mounting brackets, 12 8-1.25mm x 25mm combo bolts, 12 8 x 24mm OD x 2mm flat washers, 12 8mm lock washers, and 12 8-1.25mm hex nuts. All fasteners needed for installation are included.
Yes, if your vehicle is equipped with factory running boards or side steps, they must be removed first. Remove the hex nuts holding the mounting brackets to the inside of the body.
1. Remove factory running boards if equipped. 2. Attach the front driver-side mounting bracket with flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts—do not tighten yet. 3. Repeat for center and rear driver-side brackets. 4. Place the driver sidebar onto the three brackets and attach with combo bolts—do not tighten yet. 5. Level and adjust the sidebar as desired, then tighten all hardware. 6. Repeat steps 2–5 for the passenger side.
The fasteners should remain loose during initial assembly so that the sidebars can be leveled and adjusted to the desired position. Once the sidebars are properly leveled and positioned, all hardware is then tightened.
The slots in the top of the mounting brackets are offset. The manual includes an illustration showing the correct orientation for driver and passenger side brackets. Use the illustration to select the proper mounting bracket for each side.
Three mounting brackets are used per sidebar: one at the front, one at the center, and one at the rear. Each bracket is attached with 2 flat washers, 2 lock washers, and 2 hex nuts.
