ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Chevy Suburban (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The installation procedure requires working from underneath the truck to access the factory body mount bolts and rear leaf spring hangers. The manual does not specify whether lifting equipment is required, but access to the underside of the vehicle is essential. Consult a qualified installer or the manufacturer for specific equipment recommendations.
Installation begins on the passenger side front, then proceeds to the passenger side rear, then repeats the same sequence on the driver side. For each side: (1) attach the front mount bracket to the factory body mount bolt from underneath, (2) attach the front support bracket with 10mm × 30mm hex bolts, (3) attach the rear mount bracket to the rear leaf spring hanger using the factory nut, (4) attach the rear brace bracket to the frame and rear mount bracket with 12mm bolts, (5) position and attach the side bar to the mounting brackets with 12mm × 50mm hex bolts, (6) level and adjust the side bar, then tighten all hardware.
Yes. The front mount bracket is attached to the underside of the vehicle's front body mount using the factory body mount bolt. Do not remove the rubber bushings. The bolt is removed only to allow the bracket to be positioned, then reused to secure the bracket.
