ARIES 3" side bars add a custom look and dependable footing to your truck, Jeep or SUV. They feature a classic style, a strong design and non-skid step pads. ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Chevy Suburban and Suburban 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes one left-side bar, one right-side bar, and a hardware kit containing: two 12mm x 1.75mm x 120mm hex bolts, six 1/2" flat washers, six 1/2" split lock washers, four 12mm x 50mm hex bolts (GR.5), two 9/16" x 2.5" x 3/16" zinc-plated spacers, four 3" plastic rings, and four support brackets (front left, front right, rear left, rear right).

You will need to access the front cab mount bolt (located under the cab) and the rear spring hanger bolt and nut. The front cab mount bolt is removed during installation, and the rear spring hanger nut is removed. The rear spring hanger bolt itself remains in place and is not removed.
Locate one support bracket, one 3" plastic ring, two 1/2" x 2" hex bolts, two 1/2" flat washers, and two 1/2" split lock washers. Secure the bracket and ring to the side bar using this hardware. Do not fully tighten the hardware at this time. Repeat this procedure on the other end of the side bar using the remaining support bracket.
Remove the rear spring hanger nut. Place a spacer over the spring hanger bolt and position the rear support bracket over the rear spring hanger bolt. Secure the support bracket and spacer to the spring hanger using the factory nut. Do not fully tighten the nut at this time. The rear spring hanger bolt itself must not be removed.
Remove the front cab mount bolt located under the cab. Position the front support bracket under the front cab mount. Secure the support bracket to the bottom of the cab mount using one spacer, one 12mm hex bolt, two 1/2" flat washers, and one 1/2" split lock washer. Fully tighten all hardware at this time.

Do not remove the rear spring hanger bolt. Doing so could result in injury or damage to the vehicle. Only remove the rear spring hanger nut.
