ARIES 3" side bars are more than a fancy decal for your truck, Jeep or SUV. They are a confident first step on each new adventure. These 3" nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3" round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3" nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Nissan Frontier and Suzuki Equator (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.

The kit includes: 1 driver/left side bar, 1 passenger/right side bar, 3 driver/left side mounting brackets, 3 passenger/right side mounting brackets, 12 8-1.25mm x 25mm combo bolts, 12 8 x 24mm OD x 2mm flat washers, 12 8mm lock washers, and 12 8-1.25mm hex nuts.
Yes, if your vehicle is equipped with factory running boards or side steps, you must remove them first by removing the hex nuts holding the mounting brackets to the inside of the body.
1. Remove factory running boards if equipped. 2. Install the driver side front mounting bracket with fasteners (do not tighten). 3. Install driver side center and rear mounting brackets (do not tighten). 4. Place the driver sidebar onto the three brackets and attach with combo bolts (do not tighten). 5. Level and adjust the sidebar as desired, then tighten all hardware. 6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the passenger side.
The fasteners are left loose initially to allow you to level and adjust the sidebars to your desired position. Once the sidebars are properly leveled and positioned, all hardware is tightened together.
Three mounting brackets are used per side: one at the front, one at the center, and one at the rear. Each bracket is installed with 2 flat washers, 2 lock washers, and 2 hex nuts.
The slots in the top of the mounting brackets are offset. You must use the illustration provided in the manual to select the proper mounting bracket for each location (front, center, rear) to ensure correct orientation and fitment.
Six 8-1.25mm x 25mm combo bolts per side are used to attach each sidebar to its three mounting brackets. These are included in the kit.
Each mounting bracket is secured with 2 flat washers (8 x 24mm OD x 2mm), 2 lock washers (8mm), and 2 hex nuts (8-1.25mm). All fasteners are included in the kit.
Wax the product after installing to protect the finish. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, as these can damage the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used on small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used for cleaning. For gloss black finishes, use only mild soap for cleaning.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight. The manual does not specify an inspection interval, but regular checks are recommended to maintain the integrity of the installation.
