The ARIES Pro Series grille guard is unlike any other grille guard or brush guard on the road today because of its patented center crossbar. The ARIES Pro Series grille guard has a unique center crossbar that houses an LED light bar, allowing you to truly set your truck apart from all others. Rather than using a set of light clips or forcing you to drill holes into the frame, the aerodynamic crossbar of the Pro Series grille guard is the light bar housing itself. It uses a 30" slotted channel bracket to mount the included 30" LED light bar #1501264. The bracket can also accept other single-row light bars (some 30" light bars may not fit). The crossbar mount can also articulate, allowing you to position the light beam at any angle you prefer. Integrating the channel mount into the crossbar housing also keeps the light bar protected from the elements. To further stylize your truck, the Pro Series grille guard also comes with an interchangeable grille guard cover plate. Included with each grille guard is a black mesh cover plate that easily bolts on and provides added security for your aftermarket lights. The mesh cover plate can be swapped out with other cover plate options, including five different styles and two finishes. Solid construction should be an essential feature of any grille guard, and the Pro Series grille guard is more than qualified. It has a one-piece design of 1/4" thick welded plates and 1-1/2" mandrel-bent carbon steel tubing. We also finish each Pro Series grille guard in a highly durable, dual-layer E-coat and textured black powder coat, giving it resilience to rust and scratches. This unique finish also helps hide minor scratches and grime to maintain a clean look. ARIES Pro Series grille guards are made vehicle-specific for seamless integration with the factory bumper and an easy, no-drill installation. This grille guard fits select model years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment).

Step 1 instructs you to select an LED light and mounting hardware (sold separately) and attach the hardware to the support flange. The manual notes that LED manufacturers may have different mounting styles or brackets, so once you determine the mounting option, attach it to the support flange according to the LED manufacturer's instructions.
Place a clip nut on both ends of the support flange. Insert an 8mm hex bolt, lock washer and flat washer into each clip nut, leaving enough space between the flat washer and clip nut to slot the support flange into the light bar cage. Place the grille guard face down on a flat surface and insert the support flange into the light bar cage, ensuring the flat washer, lock washer and bolt head are on the outside of the center flange.
The frame mounting brackets are secured using the factory hex bolt that was removed from the vehicle (on the lower mounting point) along with a 10mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer and 10mm hex nut. A 10mm bolt plate is inserted into the large frame hole and a 10mm bolt retainer keeps the bolt plate from falling into the frame.
A 10mm bolt is inserted into the two outer-most holes on the support bar (located in front of the radiator). The top mounting bracket is then secured using a 10mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer and 10mm hex nut.
Yes. The air dam on the bottom of the front bumper must be modified. After the grille guard is positioned, you mark the locations of the mounting brackets on the air dam using a marker and tape, then cut two slots large enough to clear the mounting brackets. The air dam is then reinstalled.
With help, lift the grille guard up to the mounting brackets. At each lower frame mounting point, secure using a 10mm hex bolt and flat washer on the outside and a 10mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer and 10mm hex nut on the inside of the grille guard. At each top mounting point, secure using a 10mm button head bolt and flat washer on the outside and a 10mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer and 10mm hex nut on the inside. Once aligned, tighten all hardware.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. For black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the product.
The 1501264 is a 10-inch LED light bar. The manual includes a dimensional drawing showing the light bar is 33.5 units long, 31.9 units wide, with a 25-degree angle and various mounting hole specifications detailed in the technical drawing on page 7.

Connect the black wire ring terminal to the negative (-) battery post or other suitable vehicle grounding point. Mount the provided relay to the vehicle and secure all wires with zip ties away from moving parts.

If the 1501264 light bar is being used with a 24V system, the relay will need to be replaced with a 24V unit. The kit comes with a standard relay suitable for typical vehicle electrical systems.
The supplied switch should be disconnected from the wiring harness and installed in the desired location. The wiring harness connects the switch to the LED light bar via blue, red and black spade connectors as shown in the wiring diagram.

Tighten all mounting hardware. The manual states that once the grille guard is aligned, all hardware should be tightened, and periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Check all 10mm hex bolts, lock washers, and hex nuts at both the lower frame mounting points and upper top mounting bracket points.
Do not operate the light. Inspect all wires and connections for visible damage or loose connections. Secure any loose wires with zip ties away from moving parts. If damage is found, do not use the light bar. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for warranty or replacement options. Improper electrical installation or damage caused by incorrect installation is not covered by warranty.
