The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is high in nickel content, allowing the bull bar to easily resist water, road salt and rust and maintain its mirror-like polished finish in spite of the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, textured black steel and semi-gloss black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Cadillac Escalade, ESV and EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL (see application info to verify fitment).

No. The manual states: "Tow hooks cannot be reinstalled with the Bull Bar." If your vehicle is equipped with tow hooks, they must be removed before installation and cannot be reattached once the bull bar is installed.
Installation may interfere with front-mounted sensors. The manual notes: "Installation may interfere with front mounted sensors." If your vehicle has front sensors, you should verify clearance during installation and may need to consult with the manufacturer or a professional installer regarding sensor relocation or compatibility.
Removal is not required but is strongly recommended. The manual states: "It may be necessary to remove/relocate front license plate and license plate bracket. It is not required, but strongly recommended. If local/state law requires a front license plate, license plate relocation kit is available." Check your local and state laws regarding front license plate requirements.
You must remove the factory tow hooks before installing the bull bar. The manual provides two removal options: Option 1 involves removing hex bolts securing the driver side of the bumper to the bracket, using a pry bar or screwdriver to move the bumper bracket tab up and away, and sliding out the bolt. Option 2 involves removing the plastic radiator grille and loosening or removing the front bumper to access the long hex bolt in the driver side tow hook. The manual notes that the driver side tow hook on some later models may be difficult to remove and assistance is highly recommended.
If your vehicle does not have tow hooks, you must cut out the indented area in both sides of the plastic bumper insert to clear the mounting brackets. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and not cutting through the top edge of the panel. On some later models, the plastic panel is held in place with several small screws at the top corners that are difficult or impossible to reach and remove without damaging the cover with the bumper in place. If you prefer to remove the panel to cut out the openings, you may need to remove the plastic grille and then the steel bumper assembly with the plastic panel attached to access all of the small screws and clips.
Cutting may be required. The manual states: "Cutting may be required." Specifically, if your vehicle does not have factory tow hooks, you must cut out the indented area in both sides of the plastic bumper insert to clear the mounting brackets. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and not cutting through the top edge of the panel. If your vehicle has tow hooks, cutting is not necessary.
Yes, trimming may be required. In Step 2, the manual states: "Trim the plastic as required to clear the Brackets." Additionally, if your vehicle does not have factory tow hooks, you must cut out the indented area in both sides of the plastic bumper insert to clear the mounting brackets. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and not cutting through the top edge of the panel.
The kit includes: 1 bull bar, 1 driver/left mounting bracket, 1 passenger/right mounting bracket, 2 12-1.75mm x 30mm double bolt plates, 2 12-1.75mm x 35mm single bolt plates, 4 10-1.50mm x 30mm hex bolts, 6 12mm x 24mm OD x 2.5mm flat washers, 6 12-1.75mm nylon lock nuts, 8 10mm x 27mm OD x 3mm flat washers, and 4 10-1.50mm nylon lock nuts.
Assistance is recommended in at least two situations. First, the manual notes that the driver side tow hook on some later models may be difficult to remove and assistance is highly recommended on these models. Second, in Step 7, the manual states: "With assistance, hold the Bull Bar up in position on the outside of the Mounting Brackets," indicating that help is needed to position the bull bar during installation.
Most Silverado/Sierra models will use the "back" mounting position with the brackets pushed in to install the bull bar closer to the bumper. This is the typical configuration for these models. However, if the bull bar is too close to or touching the bumper after installation, you should remove the bull bar and reinstall the brackets in the "forward" position away from the bumper.
Tahoe, Yukon, and Suburban models may require the forward mounting position to move the bull bar forward or to provide more clearance for accessory lights. However, you should verify clearance during installation. If the bull bar is too close to or touching the bumper, you should remove the bull bar and reinstall the brackets in the "forward" position away from the bumper.
Do not fully tighten hardware until the final alignment check is complete. In Step 3, you should "Snug but do not fully tighten hardware at this time." In Step 7, when bolting the bull bar to the brackets, "Do not tighten hardware at this time." Only in Step 8, after checking the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and for clearance between the bull bar and the bumper, should you "fully tighten all hardware at this time."
In Step 8, check the bull bar alignment with the vehicle and for clearance between the bull bar and the bumper. If the bull bar is too close to or touching the bumper, remove the bull bar and reinstall the brackets in the "forward" position away from the bumper. Adjust as required, then fully tighten all hardware.
Do periodic inspections to ensure that all hardware is secure and tight. To protect your investment, wax the product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean the bull bar. For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the bull bar.

Do not fully tighten any hardware until after you have checked the bull bar alignment and clearance with the bumper in Step 8. Snug the hardware in Steps 3 and 7, then fully tighten all hardware only after confirming proper alignment.
Check alignment and clearance with the bumper, fully tighten all hardware, perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure and tight, and wax the product after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to protect the finish.
