ARIES 3" side bars add a custom look and dependable footing to your truck, Jeep or SUV. They feature a classic style, a strong design and non-skid step pads. ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

Yes. You must remove the factory body bolts at three mounting locations (front, center, and rear) to attach the mounting brackets. The factory body bolts are then reused to secure the brackets to the body mounts, with a washer placed between the body mount and bracket.
1. Install the driver/left front mounting bracket using the factory body bolt and a washer. 2. Install the center support bracket at the center body mount. 3. Install the rear mounting bracket at the rear body mount. 4. Attach the driver/left sidebar to the front bracket with a 1/2" hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer (snug but do not tighten). 5. Attach the sidebar to the center support bracket with an 8mm combo bolt (do not tighten). 6. Attach the rear end of the sidebar to the rear bracket with a 1/2" hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer (do not tighten). 7. Level and adjust the sidebar, then fully tighten all hardware. 8. Repeat for the passenger/right side.
No. When attaching the sidebar to the front and rear brackets, snug the hardware but do not tighten it. When attaching to the center support bracket, do not tighten the hardware. Only fully tighten all hardware after leveling and adjusting the sidebar.
After attaching both ends of the sidebar and the center support bracket with hardware left loose, use a level to check the sidebar alignment. Adjust as necessary, then fully tighten all hardware once the sidebar is level.
The torque specification for 1/2" bolts is 28 ft-lbs., unless otherwise noted in the installation instructions.

Use a standard flat washer between the body mount and the bracket. However, if your vehicle uses a cup washer at the body mount, you must use a 12mm washer between the cup washer and the mounting bracket.
Wax the product after installing to protect it. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent to clean the sidebar. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight. The manual recommends checking the installation to verify that all bolts and fasteners remain properly tightened.
