ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Ford Excursion, F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes: 1 passenger side bar, 1 driver side bar, 4 mounting brackets, 10 10mm clip nuts, 14 10-1.50mm × 40mm hex head bolts, 4 12-1.75mm × 50mm hex head bolts, 22 10mm flat washers, 14 10mm lock washers, 4 12mm lock washers, 8 10mm hex nuts, and 4 12mm flat washers.
No drilling or removal of factory parts is required. The installation uses existing pinch weld mounting points on the vehicle. The manual references 'factory holes' in the bracket diagrams, indicating the mounting points are pre-existing.
The pinch weld and side panel holes on the bracket must be horizontal when installing. The side bar mounting hole on the brackets must be vertical. These orientations are critical for proper fitment and alignment.
The rear mounting point requires 2 clip nuts, and the front mounting point requires 1 clip nut. This applies to each side (driver and passenger) of the vehicle.
Leave all fasteners loose during the initial installation steps. Only after the side bar is positioned, levelled, and aligned with the side of the vehicle should you tighten all hardware. This allows for proper alignment before final tightening.
Install the driver side bar first. Steps 2–7 describe the driver side installation. After completing the driver side, repeat steps 2–7 for the passenger side.
Use 2 10-1.50mm × 40mm hex head bolts, 4 10mm flat washers, and 2 10mm lock washers per bracket. These fasteners attach the lower side of the mounting brackets to the pinch weld.
