These 3" nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3" round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3" nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Ford Excursion, F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.

The kit includes: 1 passenger side bar, 1 driver side bar, 4 mounting brackets, 6 clip nuts (10mm), 14 hex head bolts (10–1.50mm × 40mm), 4 hex head bolts (12–1.75mm × 50mm), 22 flat washers (10mm), 4 flat washers (12mm), 14 lock washers (10mm), 4 lock washers (12mm), and 8 hex nuts (10mm). All fasteners needed for installation are included.
No permanent removal is required. You will need to access the pinch weld mounting points under the vehicle on both the driver and passenger sides. The installation uses factory holes and does not require drilling, cutting, or welding.
1. Verify all parts are present. 2. Locate driver side front and rear mounting points on the pinch weld. 3. Install clip nuts (2 at rear, 1 at front). 4. Loosely attach driver side brackets to pinch weld. 5. Loosely attach upper side of mounting brackets to clip nuts. 6. Loosely attach side bar to mounting brackets. 7. Level and align side bar, then tighten all hardware. 8. Repeat steps 2–7 for passenger side.
The rear mounting point requires 2 clip nuts. The front mounting point requires 1 clip nuts. This applies to both driver and passenger sides.
The pinch weld and side panel holes on the bracket must be horizontal when installing the driver side brackets to the pinch weld. The side bar mounting hole on the brackets must be vertical.
Leave all hardware loose until the side bar is positioned and leveled with the vehicle. Only after the side bar is level and aligned should you tighten all hardware. This allows for proper alignment before final tightening.
After loosely attaching the side bar to the mounting brackets, use a level to ensure the side bar is level and aligned with the side of the vehicle. Once properly positioned, tighten all hardware.
Yes. Periodically check and retighten the hardware as necessary after installation. No specific interval is provided; inspect the installation regularly to ensure all fasteners remain tight.
