The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from strong carbon steel and finished in a durable E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish to outlast rust and the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, polished stainless steel and textured black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Ford Ranger (see application info to verify fitment).

The kit includes: 1 bull bar assembly, 2 passenger and 1 driver bracket, 2 mount plates, 2 plastic plugs, 4 rubber bumpers, 4 × 5/16-18 × 1.00" self-tapping screws, 2 × ½-13 × 4.00" hex head bolts, 2 × ½-13 × 2.00" hex head bolts, 6 × ½" flat washers, 4 × ½" lock washers, and 2 × ½-13 hex nuts.
You will need a 10mm socket, ratchet, extension, and appropriately sized sockets for the ½" nuts and bolts. If installing lights, a short socket (not a deep well) works best for threading nuts onto the mounting studs.
Removal or relocation of the front license plate is not required but is strongly recommended. If your local or state laws require a front license plate, Curt offers license plate relocation kit 32-0055 as an optional accessory.
Some vehicles have a plastic shroud mounted to the bottom of the frame. If your Ranger has one, you must remove its bolts (using a 10mm socket) and remove the "push-type" fasteners before installing the brackets. After positioning the brackets against the bottom of the frame, reinstall the plastic shroud with its factory bolts and replace the push-type fasteners with the 5/16" self-tapping screws included in the kit.
Position the passenger and driver brackets against the bottom of the frame members. If a plastic shroud is present, reinstall it first with factory bolts and replace its push-type fasteners with the 5/16" self-tapping screws. Then attach the brackets to the outside face of the frame members using ½" fasteners (bolts, washers, and nuts) and the mount plates as shown in the installation view.
Attach the bull bar assembly to the brackets using ½" fasteners as shown in Figure 1 (the installation view of the driver side from inside the bottom; passenger side is opposite). After all fasteners are installed, level and adjust the bull bar as desired before final tightening.
Recommended torque values are: 64 Ft. Lbs. for ½" fasteners (bolts, washers, and nuts), 10 Ft. Lbs. for 6mm fasteners, and 15 Ft. Lbs. for 5/16" self-tapping screws. Tighten all fasteners after leveling and adjusting the bull bar to your desired position.
Yes. The bull bar is designed to accommodate most 5" round or rectangle lights. Insert the threaded stud on the base of the light through the hole in the cross tube. From underneath, insert a ratchet, extension, and appropriately sized socket through the large clearance hole in the bottom of the cross tube, then thread the nut and washers onto the stud and tighten. A short socket (not a deep well) works best for getting the nut started. The mounting stud must be ½" or less. If you do not install lights, plug the mount holes with the plastic caps provided.
The bull bar fits most 5" round or rectangle lights. Some lights may require replacing the included mount/isolator with the rubber bumpers provided in the kit. The mounting stud must be ½" or less in diameter.
