Insert the M10 x 65mm bolt, lock washer, and washer through the driver-side bracket hole, loosely start the nut plate in the stake pocket, and tighten until snug. 3. With help, place the headache rack on the truck bed upper rails and insert nut plates into stake pockets. 4. Attach mounting brackets to the headache rack with M12 bolts, washers, and nuts (snug but not fully tight). 5. Align brackets to the truck box edge and drill mounting holes with a 13/32" bit. 6. Secure the headache rack to truck rails using M10 x 40mm bolts, washers, and nuts on each side. 7. Adjust to desired location, then torque all M10 hardware to 45 ft-lbs and M12 hardware to 79 ft-lbs.
